A fun little picture book about the author's personal experience with depression that makes me laugh and wonder. Definitely helps if you are depressed.

This story contains a lot of differences from R.L. Stine's first three Night of the Living Dummy books, keeping fresh the well-known story of the ventriloquist dummy, Slappy. A few unexpected twists and turns make this a good read, and I'm sure that anyone who liked the first three volumes would be interested in reading this one, as well.

I loved it! I can really relate to Carly. It,s weird that Steve is Carly's friend because he's so mean to her.i'm glad Carly got back at him.I wonder why the party store keeper gave her the mask even though he knew it was dangerous.I wonder if they got the mask off her brother?

I liked this better than Wednesday Wars. So many good things! I shall list them for you: 1. You know how it feels when an author doesn't spell things out too much and lets the reader come to her own conclusions? Terrific. 2. You know how much I like it when a writer finds really punchy phrases and uses them over and over again? It's like poetry. 3. Am I a chump for loving it despite the fact that it wasn't exactly completely realistic? Am I? 4. Sometimes everyday life books like this can get boring, but Mr. Fancy Writer Schmidt injected suspense by not giving everything away right away. For example, there was no way I was going to get out of the car until I'd heard what 216 meant. 5. The audiobook narration was awesome. I could really hear the narrator smiling, choking up, getting angry. He read a little slow for my taste, but he made up for it. The only thing I don't like about this book is the cover. The cover is really terrible. I'm not lying. Please, please let it have a better cover in paperback!
This book was amazing. I really loved it but there were a few problems. Like: I didn't feel like the main character,Annabelle, wasn't ver developed. She felt like a stranger, a random character. I mean you could say that's kind of the point she is a hidden b lies but still she's the main character. Also, the flashback were kind of confusing te way they just randomly popped up and you didnt know it was a flashbacktil halfway through. They were a bit long too. But honest this is a really great book I loved the plot and the musical tint of it.
