i just think he did better with the glass family. was totally underwhelmed by holden, perhaps because i'd met seymour glass first. sometimes i think so much is in the order you read - who knows how i would have reacted to the ducks if i had read them first.

It was the first book that made me cry, it is so raw and emotional. And you become so involved with the characters...I've read this at least 8 times and it gets better each time.

Talk about getting your mind getting creative at work, Thanks for this one Deidre! I think we all have some inibitions that won't let us explore more of our sexual selves. Sometimes we just need a little "what the hell" if its enjoyable, GO FOR IT!!!

Yet again another book that takes days to get out of your head. The kind you are thinking of even though you've begun another book that is nothing like it. :) Robin Hobb has never denied me a strong deep story that pulls me in from page one to the end of book 3.
It was a little long and wasn't as great as the first book. It was still a pretty good read.

Another Sarah Addison Allen winner for me. It was a good, easy, fun read full of Southern charm.

Caution: Do NOT read this book if: 1. You are terrified of anything doomsday 2. Have hoarding or food storage issues 3. Are a worrier of any kind Set in Pennsylvania, this story is about a girl named Miranda and her family as they struggle for survival after the Moon is tipped out of it's usual orbit by a freak collision with an asteroid. When I say struggle for survival, I mean it. Although I tend to like fiction like this, I had a hard time because this one seemed to eerily possible. It also seemed so real due to the fact that you are reading Miranda's diary as the events unfold. It was painfully hard to read a few times because I felt as if I really knew her half way through and couldn't stand the thought of anything like this happening to anyone I loved. Still, with that being said, I couldn't put it down. Ultimately, it's a very intimate tale of fear, doubt, survival and hope. It did, however, make me want to go buy water barrels...
