This book has one "green" tip for every day of the year. Of course, you don't have to look at them strictly in that way. It's a great little book in that it definitely has some quality tips on how to make your life more environmentally friendly and/or do things for the environment, and manages to do so in a way that makes almost all of the tips manageable for the average person who "wants to do more." It was a good reminder to me of some things that I've forgotten I need to do or have been intending to do.

The Harry Potter series may seem childish and fantastical at first. But Rowling masterfully creates subtle parallels and symbols to create a deeper story than that of teenage magicians. The books do drag at times and the even numbered books (2,4,6) are more action driven than their odd psychologically driven counterparts. Overall the series is a great bedtime story for kids or a good analytical read if you're in to christian themed-fantasy like Chronicles of Narnia or Lord of the Rings books.

An easy read - finished in just a couple days. I really enjoyed the story line and how the past and present were woven together. I waffled throughout the book about whether she should stay and accept her life or go to school and try to change her lot. However as the story resolved and I saw the true character of her fiance, I was all for her to just get out of there. I liked how it ended and thought it was really believable. What I didn't like was how whiny and desperate Grace's letters were. The book is based on an actual event, but I don't know if the letters are real or not. I hope not. Obviously Grace was weak, to get into that situation in the first place. But her tone really bugged me.
