Anyone that knows me knows that Richelle Mead is by far one of my favorite paranormal authors. I really liked this book better than the first one even. It’s just one of those books that indeed keeps you up all night and to be honest it did. I grew very frustrated through out the entire book, like where you just wanted to throw the book across the room but then run and go get it because you just wanted to know what happens next. Yeah, that would be me. It actually happened quite a few times. The book was filled with adventure as well as lustful situations. This book is quite different than the last one because you can clearly see Eugenie grow as the book progresses and come to terms (sort of) with her Storm King heritage. I’ve honestly have always been rooting for King Dorian instead of Kiyo and in this book Richelle Mead honestly marks the difference between the two very profoundly. This isn’t one of my favorite books by her, but it indeed is a really good one. That said I give this book 4 out of 5 paws.

I thought the characters were well-structured and honest. The style was easy flowing and the pace was quick.
This Grisham book takes us back to his earlier novels and is reminiscent of The Firm. 20 years ago, Tom Cruise would again have been the ideal choice for Kyle McAvoy, a 25 year old new attorney caught up in a tangled web of blackmail and corporate espionage. The book moves well since it is from Kyle's perspective and does not delve into trial details, unlike some of Grisham's later books. Because of the pace, it will lend itself exceptionally well to film and I suspect that we will see it as a new release in the near future. I would recommend this, along with The Firm, as a great introduction to John Grisham as it is a simple, yet well-crafted, story.

Switch is one of my favorite "business" books over the last couple of years so I decided to pick up Made To Stick and was equally impressed. Great content that I intend to put into practice immediately - filled with illustrations and stories that only prove the book's premise. Check it out.

This book won the Pulitzer Prize in 2007 and I can see why. Some critics have less than liked the simplicity of his prose and purposeful minimalist grammar style(irregular use of commas, apostrophes, and other grammatical nuances). I absolutely think fits with the book. McCarthy leaves the reader with nothing to cling to but hope itself. He strips away typical life, comfort, and "normal" experiences that might give hope and makes you face humanity at its best, and at its worst. McCarthy makes you ask the question - "What's left when nothing is left?" A heartbreaking, gripping, disturbing, and terribly beautiful story of a man and his son who are striving desperately to "carry the fire" in a desolate post-apocalyptic world. This one will stay with you long after you've put it down. The Road is about a journey you hope you never have to make, and yet, you are making it every day.

This was OK, but just didn't work for me the way others by this pair of authors have. I think because the focus was much more on the suspense than on the developing relationship. The suspense was fine, but not great, and wasn't really what I was in the mood for.

I found her research on happiness very thought provoking. I struggled a bit with the first chapter or two, as it felt a bit tedious...musings of yet another writer with a great job, a year of free time and a book deal. But once I got into it, I really enjoyed it. Julia also wrote a great review on her blog: http://bit.ly/qLfo2i

Can't really go wrong with Shakespeare period, but reading this as a young girl is extremely special and I think it should be for all women. I will certainly have my daughter read it when the times comes, should I be so lucky to have one of my own someday. Young love is the only innocent love between two people.
