Kate Walker's latest release, The Return of the Stranger is another gracefully written brilliant read. Packed full of intense, powerful emotions, a riveting plot and a dark, brooding passionate alpha hero, it was really easy for me to get hooked. Definitely a must-read for Presents fans!

You'll really get annoyed with the zealots and the sexism in the countries attitudes in the book, but the book is a blast. This is a number three on the ML rating system.

** spoiler alert ** I thought it was nice that she wanted to save the tidepools.
This is an excellent account of what to me was a little known part of the Falklands war. I knew, like a lot of people, that a Vulcan had dropped bombs on an airstrip but that was all. This account rectified that. You are taken from the very beginning of the initial proposal right up until the return of the aircraft that took part in the mission. The participants describe all the problems (some near fatal to the mission) and how herculean the mission actually was. All throughout the account everything is put in perspective with the other goings on in the UK and the war at large. This is a fantastic account and really fills a hole in my knowledge of this important part of British military history. Well worth a read.

Well...He is. A big, fat idiot, I mean. That's clear, right?
He's a very good writer. Still I'm not sure if I liked any of the characters, but I got to given him credit for keeping me engaged and dealing with the era accurately, while i flew thru it.
This was a fantastic book - and such a quick read! It was fast-moving and entertaining, so if you're looking for a book to relax and delve into, try this one!
I suggest this book to individuals who seek to learn more about economic policy and the role of government in society. It is a compelling and cogent book that seeks to inform readers of the Great Divergence, Great Compression and present day policies & social structures that impact our lives. While it is biased, I think readers will take away knowledge in the following areas: 1. Health Policy/Reform 2. The role and function of social programs 3. Explanations of wealth creation and the disparity between wealth and the rest of society 4. A brief history of the socio-economic culture in the United States from early 20th century to present. Enjoy!
