In the book Kira Kira by Cynthia Katohata which is 244 pages, 2 sisters are irriseptible. Katie is the youngest adn Lynn is the oldest anad her their mom is pregnant with a baby brother. They are Japanese- Americans and are very poor. They live in Iowa but have to movie to georgia for a new job opportunities. The sisters have to go to school and they have to deal with the racial comments. Lynn is doesnt care what anyone thinks and is getting strsight A's but slowly as Lynn is getting older the two sisters are slowly growing apart as they get older and is slowly making new riends at school. Katie feels lonely as the middle child. The family is slowy braking apart and Lynn suddently gets diegnosed with lymthoma. this is the climax of the story. You will have to read the book to find out what happens to Lynn and the familly. I recommend this book to every one beause it was really realistic and well writen.

Gibson's first non-SF novel. Takes place the year it was written, 2003. It's a subtle story, which I found more satisfying the second time I read it. I find this is often the case. Gibson novels are written to be read twice. Some readers find his economy of words, his stark leanness of prose, to be inaccessible, however, it is this trait that draws me to his writing. He makes the banal poetic and meaningful.

A spectacular book in a spectacular series that made Robin Hobb one of my favorite authors. The end of the series is a bit of a let down. It doesn't have a feeling of conclusion. But that's because the story wasn't finished - its continued in the Tawny Man trilogy. Sadly, the Tawny Man trilogy isn't nearly as good.

Really, really interesting. I grew up knowing the story of Dorothy and the Wicked Witch by heart. But Wicked makes you look at it so differently. Was Elphie REALLY all that wicked? Or was she just driven and bitter, after a rough life? If one thing had been changed about her past, how differenty would the story have turned out? It just makes you think... I would've given it four stars. But I'm not a huge fan of descriptive sexual scenes...I don't really think they're necessary, usually. Of course there are exceptions, but anyways. It was a good book. As always, I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!
