One of the best books I have ever read. You don't even realize how much you are learning about Algeria and the revolution while you're reading this work of brilliant fiction.

What was that ending?! Really Cassandra Clare?! I'll have to wait until next year to know what is going to happen, and I just can't wait!!! It was even better than the first one, everyone should read it, it was THAT good!

I listened to this - downloaded from Audible Books. The reader is unfamiliar with the Tri Cities area of Washington State and mispronounced some of the place names. Something about listening brought all the weaknesses of the book to the ear . . . .

Read this book as a preview for our book fair next week. I really enjoyed it. It will be a great one for boys who like Cirque du Freak.

This is the first book in an amazing series. I was totally in love with them and would recommend these to anybody. You will love them.
I started this book this afternoon and am already on chapter 13. I am having such a hard time reading it and yet can't put it down. I physically started shaking at one point with tears streaming down. This woman is so incredibly brave and strong. I am horrified by these images I am getting and know they are nothing compared to her real experience. Jaycee is my age and she refers to the years or age I think about what I was doing and how innocent those years were for me and should have been for her. It is incredibly hard for me to read but I kept saying to myself, "If she could live through this, then I can read about it and finish it". So that’s what I am doing… Written simply and gut wrenchingly truthful, I could not put this book down. Jaycee's courage and determination to survive is an inspiration to everyone.

Not nearly as good as his American Wife but ok.

The story is horrific and heartbreaking and paints a terrible picture of some well-known Hollywood stars. One definitely feels for her, but as so many celebrity autobiographies are, this one is so full of name dropping and playing the victim game that it buries what I think is the true story: how an abused little girl learns how to be a mother. A little less "this is who owned this mega mansion before us" and a little more introspection please.

My daugher was writing a paper on the Brooklyn Bridge and used this book. I read it and loved it. It's the story of the building of the bridge during a time in America of great optimism. Amazing what people can do and endure!
