Pearson's 22nd-century Frankenstein tale is poignant, fully rendered, and achingly beautiful. I was particularly struck by the way she marked Jenna's character development through her narration, with her vocabulary and understanding evolving from the first page until the final sentence. This book is everything science fiction is supposed to be: a tale about the future that sparks reflection on today, a completely realized world both foreign and familiar, and a deeply moving story. One interesting facet that makes The Adoration of Jenna Fox so relevant is its contemplation on government-run healthcare, written before the issue became such a hot-button topic. Pearson has created a story to stimulate the heart, the mind, and everything in between.

Just as good on reread as it was originally. Such a fun comfort read

Natasha grabbed it for me. She hasn't finished the first book yet, but she knew I liked it. Library copy.

I loved this book when I was a kid, but on rereading I found it had some issues (mentioned by previous reviewers upthread). What it does well, and still does well, is atmosphere. It's genuinely creepy, which is hard to pull off. (Also, I love the cover art on this printing.)

This ancient epic starts a little slow, but just keep going through book 5 and you'll never put it down.

This was fun, quick paced and witty. John Locke is just fun to read. It's a little violent and a little pg 13, but all together a good read. It filled in some of the holes from the first Donovan Creed book. However, there were some parts that reminded me of other books and actually gave me pause. (In particular, The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo.) Nonetheless, recommended for a lazy Sunday afternoon. You won't learn anything...but you will be entertained.

I really loved this book a lot. I thought it was very well thought out and had a great message. I couldn't put it down when i read it, it was so intense. I loved the feeling it gave you, you could really imagine how Cassia felt when she had all her issues going on. I loved how Ky taught her how to write as well, it was very romantic. But I didn't like how Xander was kind of just dumped by Cassia, so she could be with Ky. And i also didn't like how at the end Ky had to leave to go to the outside war, that was really sad. I really liked her grandfather, and how he had a different perspective on things in the society. I like that Cassia was telling the story because she was the main character and it made it really interesting. I liked that she slowly fell in love with Ky, it was really cute.

Leven Thumps and the Wrath of Ezra is an amazing book. Just like the previous book, you cannot put it down, no matter what you do. I love this book because of the beginning just drags you into the book. Also, I love the new plot of this book. I like this series because each one has a different plot, but they connect with the other book in a way. And, I really enjoyed reading about the characters. They are always fun and playing constantly. I reccomend this book to whoever liked Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved this book, and I really think that you will too.

This is one of the first pure mystery novels I have ever read (possibly the very first), and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The characters were interesting, and of course, it was much more than a who done it?
