Larissa doesn't do tortured characters as well as her more stable ones. It also has some inconsistancies. But, I still enjoyed the characters and read the book cover to cover.

Wow just wow. I loved this book. So intense. Slight spoiler coming, look away now.... ...I kinda knew that Gale wouldn't be the victor of katniss's heart. After everything she and peeta went through the Games it would have been impossible for her to have the same kind of bonds with Gale. I think I'm secretly hoping that mockingjay would enable them to share something that could bring their relationship back on tract (whatever that relationship may be). A fantastic read.

Rebecca goes to live with her aunts and has precocious adventures. I liked most of this book. Rebecca never really came together as a character for me; so many descriptions of her contained these extremely distinct personality quirks that didn't quite fit into one person. Many of the scenes seemed completely interchangeable with those in Anne of Green Gables, not just in terms of utility in plot advancement, but in actual content, and unfortunately, it is this book that suffers from the comparison. Overall, I thought I was getting into a good groove with it, when it just up and ended. So minus a star for that.

Dragons who can crawl out of books, dragons who can eat entire towns in one gulp, tiny little microscopic dragons and more... Wonderful, imagination-filled book, a recommended read really for any age but best for 5th-8th graders.
