It took me a while to get into this one, but I ended up really liking the characters. I think I would have enjoyed the book more without the whole murder aspect -- I wasn't interested in those parts, and luckily the author focused much more on Mattie and her story.

This was a great book. I read it years ago, but it'll always be a favorite. I felt somewhat guilty at times, reading it. I felt like I was intruding into the life and struggles of Christopher McCandless.

This was a fun book that has four mini stories which took place in the same worlds as the Samaria series, Summers at Castle Auburn, the Thirteenth House series and Heart of Gold. I didn't read the one about Heart of Gold as I haven't read that yet and want to read it before I do. The other three were fun though. Some were set in an earlier time than her other books and others were after. It was fun to enjoy those worlds for short little stories.

This is a new take on the Dracula myth and boy, did it stink. I had high hopes for this one after reading the inside jacket, but I was never able to connect with the main characters and the plot was just too boring after the first couple of chapters. Major disappointment.

In the so bad, it's good category. Potboiler in every sense of the word. Edit: I was contacted by the author (or by a bot) after reviewing this book. He did the same thing when I reviewed the book on my own website a few years back. Bad move, Just leave people alone. Some people are going to like your stuff, others aren't. Just accept it.

One of my absolute favorite sci-fi books, and just favorites in general. A great mix of history (I'm such a history nerd) and future science. Some great philosophical stuff towards the end as well. I really can't review any of this without spoiling it, so all I can do is tell you pick this up.
