Interesting but by no means riveting back-of-the-house tales of the Natural History Museum in London. His style is by turns fun, informational, conversational, lecturey, snoozeworthy, irksome, and aweseome. I wished for more from this book but wasn't entirely unsatisfied with what I got.

I did really enjoy this. I love Terry Pratchetts humour. This was my first meeting with Neil Gaiman but really enjoyed his style too. The things that the devil has put in place are real life hells like the M25, which was hilarious. I did find myself tuning out in parts though and getting bored with some sections.

+Young teen well written +Short chapters - easy to read quickly +Precise style; no extra flourishes +Setting; our history but not quite -Jorg acts older than his age, although it is mostly intentional Absolutely brilliant. I wasn't expecting such a good debut! An entity in itself, but I'm happy it's only part 1, so there's more to come! Will be sure to read the next part - the only bad thing I can think of is that the sequel is not yet out.

This was a brilliantly told story that I thoroughly enjoyed with many hauntingly well-written passages like the one above.

لم تكن هذه الروايه أول روايه شرق اسيوية قرأتها فقد سبق وأن قرأت مجموعه قصصيه صينيه منذ فتره تمتد للسنتين .. عندما بدأت هذه التي الروايه كنت اشعر أن هناك شيء ما تحمله بين طياتها رغم أن الاحداث تمر ببطء وبطريقه عاديه جداً لكن اعجبني بها الترجمه ترجمتها رائعه جداً لم أشعر بغرابة تركيب الجمل او تشويه للمعنى في اي جزء منها وهذا ما جعلني النتهي منها في 3 ايام فقط وربما كنت سأنتهي منها في وقت اقصر لولا انشغالي . . لعل بطل الروايه الذي بدأ حياته وحيداً لم يستطع تخيل حياته كامله أو ممتلئه لذلك كان هناك كثير من الثغرات في افكاره وفي رغباته وامنياته أو احلامه التي تعلقت في صورة صديقة افترق عنها خمس وعشرين عاماً هنا سؤال بسيط هل حقاً الصداقه قد تمتد لهذه المده رغم عدم اللقاء ؟ أم لأن الحب تخللها أصبحت صادقه كهذا ؟ . للأحلام أحيانا والرغبات أن تحطم الهدوء والبساطه التي آلت اليها حياتنا لذلك علينا ان نحذر مما نفكر وأن لا ننساق لكل شيء دون وضع خطه مناسبه لذلك حتى لا نخسر اشياء كثيره نحن لا نزال بحاجتها " هذه هي رسالة الروايه والتي استطعت استخلاصه منها " في النهايه ربما بعض المقاطع التي تصف العلاقات الجسديه هي من آذت الروايه كثيراً وغير ذلك اعدها جيده جداً تستحق الوقت الذي قضيته خلالها اقتباسات من الروايه - هناك أشياء في هذا العالم يمكن تغييرها وأشياء لا يمكن تغييرها والزمن العابر واحدمن الأشياء التي لا تسترجع حين تصل إلى هذا الحد ، لا يمكنك التراجع - بعد مرور مدة زمنية ما تتصلب الأشياء مثل الاسمنت في دلو لا يعود بوسعنا العودة ما تود ان تقوله أن الاسمنتالذي يلفك قد يثبت لذا ما أنت عليه الآن لا يمكن أن يكون شخصاً آخر

I enjoyed reading this book. But there was one paragraph that threw me off... Why must that have been in it? I don't exactly see that as plausable. The rest of the story was very intruiging.

I loved the first one so much I just wanted to jump back in to Will and Alona, but alas something is keeping them apart. This book felt so long yet so short at the same time. The whole book takes place in a span of a couple of days, so its very action packed and detailed. The characters are still amazing, I really LOVE Will and Alona together, but this second book is more about the back story. We learn more about Will's father and Alona's family.Still I just wanted to spend some alone time with Will and Alona, hopefully the third book can give me some more of that. Also, this book has a little bit of a more serious undertone, the characters are growing up, finding things about the world they live in, its a little more realistic. There is so much more I want to say about the book, but I don't want to give anything away. I am very curious to see where Kade is taking the story, which has grown from a ghost love story to a more mature growth story of a girl who thought she had it all, but didn't know what she was missing and a boy who because of his special ability used to keep people out and is now finally letting them in. The writing is amazing as usual. Kade really knows her characters and makes me feel like I know them too. I can't wait till the third books comes out in 2012.... Gah thats a long time from now!
