I think a lot of teenagers struggling with their sexuality can definitely identify with this book. It's much better than some of the other books I've read in this genre that depict an adolescent dealing with their sexuality, as I believe there's a dearth of good writing in this area. So I can't give this book more than three stars, but I have to say I did enjoy it and think it would be a great book for any gay teenager to read.

Actually 4.5 stars.... Finally the book is out. For past one year we (and here I can talk about four of us) have been waiting for the release of this book. Checking every month and then on a weekly basis. Its one of the firsts in Mythological fiction in India based on God Shiva. For me Shiva is probably the most maverick of the Trimurti of Gods – Brahma, Vishnu & Mahesh – birth, life & death and comes across as someone so un-God like. He is not saintly or perfect, he does not follow rules, his anger is earth shaking, his lifestyle is bohemian, he follows his emotions, and he loves or hates to the extremes. Unlike Vishnu the charmer & his aura and Brahma with his multiple heads and books, Shiva represents the God of the free spirits, who do not believe in right or wrong but believe in him and only him. Loved it, more about Emma and her interesting character and relationships and her mysteries. Now I can read the new one. It has taken the author 15 years to write this series of 4 books which take place over about a month's time in Emma's life, and after looking through the new one I can see she doesn't end it yet. I don't know if I am happy or sad, because it will be another 5 years before she writes more!

I thought it was a great ending. Many people are looking for either a sad or happy ending, hoping for the later, but Suzanne Collins decided to do both. While it wasn't as intense as the first two books, my attention was still kept at the edge of possible mayhem. I have to agree with my wife that there could have been one last chapter that resolved Katniss' life with Peeta in more detail. Overall it was a great book.

I've been avoiding this book because I generally don't like circus books....they seem like a way too easy way for a novelist to write about quirky characters in bizarre situations. But after finally reading the first chapter of this one that appears on all the must read lists lately, I was hooked. The circus story which takes place during the Depression is framed by the narration of the main character who is now 90 plus years old and in a nursing home looking back on his life. His personality is what hooked me on the story. The love story is a little trite and the ending a little contrived, but this is a really fun, entertaining book.
