This book is the autobiography of an autistic savant (who I heard interviewed on NPR) who has a peculiar gift of synethesia and the ability to memorize prodigious numbers. Fascinating in general, but for a person interested in neurology or human behavior, even more so.

want a new tea pot...again. and want to try packed tea...want to try growing tea...really liked the book. Though, truth to tell, did not read the entire end when it comes to discussing each type of tea in each tea producing country.

Anyone who is an animal lover would enjoy this book! It's written from the point of view of a dog. It's a quick read, & a nice story. It made me hug my animals extra close after finishing this book!

Not his best work, but a fascinating look into Afghanistan in the late 1940s. The more things change, the more they remain the same.

This Deaver book is unputdownable. The reason that it becomes interesting is the way Deaver explains the various nuances used in the world of magic ans the way he inculcates those tricks in actual plot of the story is what makes this novel a mandatory reading! And what a great protagonist! Lincoln Rhyme is undoubtedly the finest creation of all time according to me. I may call him a paraplegic Sherlock Holmes. And obviously as in every Deaver book the final twist is a masterful one. Great series!

I detest this book because I loved it even when it was breaking my heart. I can't believe in so many things! And sometimes I want to scream: Why Cassandra Clare?! Why a fourth book?! The third was great! Don't you think Jace and Clary have had enough?! Oh, but why?! And then I think about the great development of the characters in this book: Maia and Kyle (his appearence was just genius, you know?) Simon and Izzy, Alec and Magnus and so much more. I know it means drama, my heart breaking and me wanting to scream and smile at the same time but I guess in the end it will be worth it. Ohhh, it better be worth it! Five stars for the five damn days of depression I'll pass trough because of this ending!

Amazing book!!! It's a tale we've all heard before, the bad boy & the good girl, but nothing about this story is cliche. There was drama, certainly, but also a good dose of humor. It has the ingredients of a teen romance, but goes so much deeper. I've also read the story of Carlos, the second brother in Rules of Attraction, and I have to say the author has yet to disappoint me.
Was für ein Komponist!

After becoming almost unhealthily obsessed with the TV show, I decided I wanted to backtrack and read the book that inspired the show. Even though I knew most of what happened, I was still enthralled by the story. Jeff Lindsay's writing style is engaging and playful with a dark edge, much like his twisted hero. A really enjoyable thriller with an ending twist that didn't exist in the first season of the show. Looking forward to reading the second book (from which my bookstore-employed boyfriend tells me the second season of the show deviates much more) with the continuing saga of Dexter Morgan, the serial killer you can't help but love!
