Absolutely thrilling. The plot moved like CRAZY, and the cliffhanger ending blew me away. On to the next!

Pretty decent read, with Native Americans, wolves, murder and the typical romance novel sex scenes. You know, I feel kind of dumb saying this, but the cover art really bugged me. The main character is, of course, impossibly handsome and sexy, but the cover art makes him look like a steroid freak. Yeah, I know the picture needs to draw in the reader to make the sale, but the guy on the cover is rather laughable. Kind of a black-haired Fabio. Anyway, look past the cover and read the book, it's a fun romp.

The story of a man trying to find himself. He builds labyrinths which makes the story interesting because it is also a labyrinth itself, jumping from present to past to describe why the characters act the way they do.

As usual, Jodi Picoult, gives you alot to think about. She has a way of giving you both sides of a situation so you understand why a person is doing something, even if you don't agree w/ them. With her there is no black and white....there are many shades of gray, no one is perfect and nobody is all bad either. Well done.

That Edmund Dantes: what a nut!

While the beginning of the book is entirely confusing at points, the art is decent and the end of this first volume sets us up for what could be an epic battle between the immortal and the undead.

Now I am really wanting to know what happens next! These little novellas do not last long to keep me in suspense because I read through them way too fast. Very interesting stuff. Now Cam and Natalia know too much about Raine. But is Brody in on it and can they save Aiden?

This book is written in three different ways. One, in letter form from a foreign man critiquing the work of the main character who is an author. Second, in the past in a town that no longer exists. and Third, in the present, where the main character is trying to research the town. The shifts between time, place, and voice are executed very well and make this a really interesting book. A man trying to find his own heritage, and find the woman who saved his grandfather to thank her, ends up learning about himself.

Fans of Graceling will not be disappointed!! :) Let's see, political intrigue? Check. Strong, dimensional female characters? Check. Love interest? Check. Self discovery? Check. This book pretty much hits all the bases. Another success for Kristin Cashore. And wonderful read for us. :)
