I found the first two chapters pretty hard going, but after that I started to enjoy reading it. I think a lot of the musical theorish stuff threw me off (I once got 36% on a musical theory test back at secondary school, enough said). I'm also going to check out more stuff by Langston Hughes (one of his poems was in here and it was pretty awesome).

I read the first in this series and found it amusing so thought I'd try number 2. Cute little bit of froth. Predictable but enjoyable. And I liked the recipes in the back. I also like the history and coffee lure in these books. But I don't really want to go to the Village Blend, for despite the great sounding coffee, there sure are a lot of deaths there! I have book 3-6 waiting in the wings, Yay!

i re-read this book every few years.
Courting Trouble...not a fan of the bicycle thing, but it was a good book. It did take me a bit longer to get into it than her other two books. But, I like the emphasis in the end that despite the choices she makes she realizes that Jesus is her only man that she needs in her life. Wish most Christian girls and women would see that reality. It's something I teach to my youth girls that I help out with since I know what it's like to look toward men to fulfill you and not God. Really could've done without the cycling hobby, she should've had another, but I see the need for it since she wasn't the average woman in her day. There is one main in scene in the book that may be uncomfortable to read, but it goes with the story. So watch out if you are reading and realize that she doesn't have it in there to make it racey, but to make a point of how temptation can override common sense and Godly morals when you put yourself in that position. She gave the character several warnings with the mind talk, but the character chooses a different path than the one she should've and regrets it in the end. All in all, I liked the book. Just not as much as her first two.

This book was very interesting. I liked learning some of the history on the tower of London and the Titanic. This book is really intresting. (If you like history) I liked this book.I really like the stories in this book. I think all older kids (middle school) would like this book. This book is a quick read and quite intresting. (Even if it is history.) That may be becaue I love history. So if you like short true mystery stoires read this book.

I wasn't a huge fan, but I gave it two stars instead of one because 1) she resisted her characteristic urge to sanctify Katherine of Aragon and 2) I need an extra star to distinguish this from the horror that was "The Virgin's Lover".
Not as good as the first book in the series, but the book had its moments. (Does anyone ever read my reviews? Probably not. But at least, it will help me remember how I felt about a book when I finished it. lol)

It started out with so much promise but after all the Stephanisms were done, it fell flat. Not her best one at all.

I absolutely loved this book! I was pondering on the fact just before reading it whether it could ever be as good as the Philosopher Stone as that book just blew me away. However, I found this book just as imaginative and enthralling! Harry Potter is one of my favourite series of books and this book is one of the best! I hope you enjoy it just as much as I do!
