After a slow start I found the plot moved along but I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

This one was a vacation read. I really appreciated the depth the author gave to the background and relationship between Alexei and Billie. I was not happy when I got to the end of the book and didn't find an ending, but a cliffhanger. It's not like it'll be easy to track down the next book. It's not the kind of cliffhanger that I can't live without reading the next book, but I do like some closure! Overall, I'd say this was good read though.

I enjoyed reading this book but you could see the faults in both spouses. Her hero-worship of he husband at the beginning gets tedious. How smart can the guy be if he doesn't know himself at all? He has a history of leaving his wife for another woman whom he suddenly falls in love with. And she is so desperate to keep the asshole and dramatic tries to stop him. Simultaneously she tries to discover if he has started the affair her instincts tell her is going on. And constantly she explains that she is acting this way for her small boys and to keep her family together.this has the sort of pleasure you get from watching a slasher film - Don't open the door! Don't split up to search- all the time knowing you came to the movie because they were going to split up and be killed off.
Jess, my 8-year old little girl, gave it 3 stars. Comments while reading: 1. "I want to read this book because all the kids in my class have read it." 2. "That's the CHEESE! Don't touch it! Why? Because if you touch it you'll have the 'cheese touch'." 3. "What is the 'cheese touch'? Just read the book!" 4. "He had to tie his fingers together so he won't get the cheese touch. And he got a D in handwriting." 5. "Is it true that if your hand is bigger than your face you have low intelligence?" 6. "What is a dork? Okay. Rawley is so dorky!" 7. "Rodrick is the brother. He's like, a teenager --- that's why he leaves his dirty underwear everywhere." 8. "What's a soprano? Oh, like that Carmen lady?" 9. "I want to buy the real book because I want to be able to write and draw on it. My friends all do it."

Reading these emails is somewhat like taking a tour through "cyberspace," circa the 1990's. In many of these notes, moms make goofy allusions to various forms of technology. In others, they find new and invasive ways of keeping up with their children. Some are very short and sweet, and others reveal things that moms might not be able to share with their adult kids in any other form. It's a perfect gift for a mom (or grandmother, even), but what's genius about it is that even the most tech-savvy blogger type will also get a chuckle or five out of these motherly mash notes. You're very likely to recognize your own mom in these emails...or be grateful you were spared some of these probing "I've been reading your blog" type notes. Fans of Postcards from Yo Mamma and new readers will enjoy this; seeing all the entries together is a reminder that checking up on one's kids is pretty universal, as is mothers not letting propriety or anything else stop them from having their say.

A good read--perhaps a little too like Stephanie Plum--but still enjoyed the story. Roxy sleeps around to keep from being emotionally entangled. She's a nosy architectural object scavenger with a large, dumb, side-kick and many interesting friends. A murder of a local rich guy has her poking around in a burned out mansion and being there a little too close to the time of the murder.

The freedom writer’s diary is a painful train with no plan on stoping, but with teenagers doing the impossible to change its destination. There are many kids involved with the freedom writers in the book. There are stories they wrote about their lives. About how they face gang violence, their family problems, and also problems they face in and outside of school. Every story you would find interesting, and if you’re emotionally sensitive like me you would find yourself tearing to these kids tales. In your mind you would set, that it was probably difficult for them to write about what they’ve been going through. There is one specific diary where the person describes a very personal moment in her life, she describes one day that she got raped by her uncle. It was painful reading about this because she actually got raped by her uncle. In homeroom 203 (freedom writers homeroom), all the kids went through something horrible. Ms.Gruwell, their teacher is teaching them all about tolerance. The freedom writers no longer tolerate all the violence going on in life. This book is a “must read”, you will learn about teens going through things you can relate to, because the book is about understanding a new perspective in life other than your own.

I have mixed feelings about this book. While I can appreciate the imagination it takes to come up with an elaborate story line, I feel that one should have some sort of flair for writing if it's to be put into print. I will concede that as the series went on, Meyer's writing style improved. I did enjoy this book for the "stupid fun" of it. But really, it's a ridiculous and saccharine conclusion to a mediocre series. I'm not entirely knocking it because I know I don't have the talent to write, as is evident by this review. All that said, I understand the phenomenon of this series, especially it's popularity with teenage girls. I'm sure if I were 15 years younger, I'd be driving the Twilight series bandwagon. As with the Harry Potter series (though, HP is in an entirely different class in my opinion), the one thing that really matters is that this series got teens reading again, and really, isn't that the important thing?
There are many isuse in this book but the main one is that every one thinks Harry Pottter is a lier and no one belives that Lord Voldemort is back! This story mainly takes place in Hogwarts, and I couldn't see it any were else but there! Because there is surten drama there that doesn't happen any were else. Harry is antagonist because he strugles. I dislike how the begings are soooo long. It just goes on and on with out any action for awhile. I like this book because its funny how Ron just dos't know a clue about girls "You should write a book, translating mad things girls do so boys can understand them." said Ron Weasley People who are ignoant about something that is true will make it harder for others. I would recamend this book to all my friends and family! I love this book and all the Harry Potter books (well at least all the ones I have read)! I wouldnt recamened it to littler kids because they would have a hard time under standing some things and its to hard of a level for them.
My absolute favourite Nick Earls novel. It's one of those rare books that has you laughing out loud. So funny and so very Aussie.
