Fours stars for being so much fun. I read it in less than 24 hours and my kid was almost an hour late for preschool because I was too caught up in it to realize the time. He would have missed it completely except his teacher called to ask where he was. This is written by the same author who wrote the award-winning "Princess Academy" which actually bored me a little. This one was definitely more of a page-turner. A little silly/floofy, but still worth reading if you just need some light, girly entertainment. Adrianne, you should read this!

Stephen Ambrose is my favorite historian of World War II and his Pegasus Bridge does not disappoint. This book tells the story of the first engagement of D-Day and of the men on both sides who participated in it. Ambrose is wonderfully able to make history come to life. Reading Pegasus Bridge made me once again think on the incredible sacrifices that my grandfather's generation (my was with Patton’s Sixth army in Europe) was called upon to make. I’m not one to elevate those who were called upon to fight to a rarefied status but I am impressed and humbled by what they accomplished and what they had to go through. They had a terrible task put before them and they performed that task well.

What can be said...this is the third installment in the Sookie Stackhouse novels and it's just as fast-paced and enjoyable as the rest. I am surprised by how invested I have become in this series. I went into it thinking that it would just satisfy my curiosity (as I've never seen the show but everyone raves about it) and have found myself purchasing every one of 'em.
