City of Bones is a thrilling novel with interesting characters. Cassandra makes a reader read on with the twisting and turning of her stories. This was the second time I read this and I was still suprised and on the edge of my seat while reading.

** spoiler alert ** While interesting and well-written, I had a hard time with the subject matter. It was hard for me to read about mothers being separated from their babies and babies dying, and I wish all books that contain sexual violence would come with a warning on them!

Tom Robbins is definitely whacked but in a very deep whacky way, he is also a philosopher with a lot to say about our society. I enjoyed the book, but it is "out there"... you have to be willing to be open to strangeness.

Her writing is riveting, witty, hilarious, absorbing the readers attention, and making us to want to be the characters. To experience everything they live. The second installment of The Infernal Devices was a so wonderfully developed that you just can`t wait to learn what´s comming next in Will and Tessa`s, and the others, futures. A must read.

This book really opens up to the world around us. It shows us that some of the things we do can affect others. I couldn't pull myself off the book. I think it's more interesting when a person reading puts himself/herself into character's position. I recommend reading it to everyone.

I have to say that im always intrigued with stories with one perspective. This book (obviously a retelling) does just that. It shows you the how Victor Frankenstein sees the world and why he goes through experimenting on corpses. As he goes deeped and deeped into his experiments, he creates the mosnster we all know very well. The experiments, his paranoia, and the un-dead he created chilled me to the bone. I highly recomend it.

At times I foudn the book hard to follow. It seemed to veer from topic to topic with no connection beign finalized or made. Lots of fancy words for common terms were also used...great vocabulary building I suppose. Overall it was alright but not the best book I have read about this time period.
