I think this book is the best book i have ever read. It's really depressing to me and it makes me cry everytime i watch the movie or read the book. This book makes me apreciate my dad and made me relize how much i love him. I learned that i should never take anyone for granted because they wont be here forever.

Fantastic book! I never knew reading a scary book could literally make me jump until I read this book! It's a little long, but a classic Stephen King book!

Fast Food Nation from a more scientific and better researched perspective. Worthy in its look at the 'organic' [in quotes because the word probably doesn't mean what the common perception of it is] food industry as well as the popular targets. Also makes a great case that we are in effect subsidizing the current obesity epidemic. Some people have trouble getting into it, but I couldn't put it down.

Interesting because it's true, but it got a bit tedious.

Take a story of political intrigue, spies and quirkiness and switch out all the names with characters from Lord of the Rings. Eh. Also, the story started out quirky and satirical, but then started taking itself seriously. Well, it was free...
People who hate this book really don't see what's at stake in doing philosophy.

I appreciated the premise of the book, but there were entirely too many moments when she irritated me for me truly to "like" the book. For instance, she seemed to have completely forgotten the fact that people other than Jews were killed in the Holocaust. Her stance on certain things (which I did not see as necessarily pertinent to the topic of the book and which I frankly disagree with) was quite clear.
