This book is a comprehensive overview of kitchen design and organization. Martin discusses how to stock a food pantry, how to clean the kitchen, and so much more. I am interested in design books, but I like how this one is useful after the designing process is complete.

Better than I expected. Definitely envelops you in the setting and makes you think, "What would I do?"

Tried to be as good as Ella Enchanted, but alas and alack, did not succeed. A light, enjoyable read, nonetheless. Just be warned: Ijori is no Char.

Literacy skills: Vocabulary-this book is amazing for building vocabulary. The author uses wonderful descriptive words (exquisite, iridescent) and even explains the meaning of the words in the text. There is also simple French vocabulary worked into the text. Special notes: Font for the story is very flowery, may be harder for young children to recognize letters.

This is one of Alan Moore's best. While Gaiman coughs out good stuff every now and then, his best is only on par with Moore's above-average. And don't let any pansy goth chick tell you otherwise. Like "V For Vendetta", this is a setting of an alternate reality, only it is in the year 1985, with the Cold War heating up and costumed 'heroes' going all wrong. If the Watchmen watches us, who watches them?? Watchmen is mandatory reading. No 'ifs', 'buts' or 'althoughs'. If there are people who think that the genre of costumed heroes is too "kiddy", tell them to read this book. Really. Else let them know the man in the ink-blot mask will find them in the night, and break their little fingers.

"I must say, I don't see how anyone can pretend to be interested in a novel when he doesn't even stop to ask himself what it's title means." "The creature we are watching will struggle on and on until it drops. Not because it is heroic. It can imagine no alternative."

A bonfire was then lit under a huge pole, and on that pole a huge banner, to hysterical applause, was suddenly unfurled and upon it, upsidedown, were written the words: "In The End Was Wordlessness." I recall contacting my best friend Joel when marvelling at the rich depths of The Recognitions. Riveted as I was by the symbolism, I was sure I was missing half of the action. My best friend retorted that there are instances where a Catholic education demonstrates its benefits. Darconville's cat was Melvillean in all its senses, the pejorative maintaining a lasting sting. It was a lengthy effort qua struggle, no doubt also influenced by those medical minds, Celine and Rabelais. Throughout were scattered truly touching scenes which throbbed with impact and emotion. Those stood in opposition to an obstinate macrocehallic umbrage. That said, I'm not sure we needed a six page inventory of Dr. Cruciifer's library. Isn't that a wicked fun name, Crucifer?

This is, looking back, a fairly pedantic little book. But when I was a young child, it was magical.

I read the Spanish version of Jurassic Park while spending a summer in South America during grad school, and it was still very suspensful in Spanish. I don't know if it's a clean read or not (I've never learned any Spanish swear words), but it's an intriguing thriller.

从我读完《替代》的那一刻起,我就一直热切期待这本小说,而《间隔》也不会令人失望。 世界和角色很复杂-同时吸引和排斥我,令人不安的不人道和令人心碎的真实。 冲突感到立即而又令人恐惧,结局使我完全不相信这个故事。 我爱它!
