I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway and thoroughly enjoyed Lynn Cullen's creative weaving of historical facts surrounding the prominent royal figures of "the Spains" during the late 15th and early 16th centuries. Ms Cullen provides a very believable and sympathetic narrative in the telling of Juana of Castile's unlikely path gaining and losing her throne. I was pulled in from the very beginning and remained enthralled with the telling of this tale. Historical fiction at its best. Well done!

Stefan Swanepoel, wrote a great book. Is it about Animals? Is it about People? The comparisons are amazing. A must read for all.It is a beautiful three day journey in Africa. It took me one siting to read it. So you can not give the excuse "no time". Once you start you will not be able to put it down. Take the quizz and let me know what animal are you?

Excellent. Excellent. Mickeberg argues that a section of 1930s era radicals went "underground" by becoming authors, publishers, and promoters for children's literature in the 1940s and 1950s, producing books that eventually had an impact on the social movements of the 1960s.

When I said that book 5 was really the prequel to this book, I wasn't kidding. Truthfully, except for introducing a couple of key characters, book 5 was barely necessary. Book 6 blows everything out of the water. We see Kitty realy coming into her own. She knew that things weren't over in Vegas but she didn't expect the cult of Tiamat to come to Denver. We get vampires, werewolves, magicians and demons not to mention Kitty's version of Ghosthunters. Great set of characters and I hope we see more of all of them. She's developed a fabulous network of people via mutual trust and it works when she has to rely on them.
Enjoyed this one as well. Plot twists can be seen a mile away, but the writing is fun and witty and it made me giggle to myself more than once. I just enjoyed the journey. "His only permant companion was a Doberman pinscher that had been slung ashore during a tropical storm two Octobers ago. Stranahan assumed that the half-drowned animal had toppled off somebody's boat, but no one came looking. The dog proved to be dumb and stubborn as a mud fence, so Stranahan had named him Strom." *gigglesnort*

The first one was good. This one was just silly.
