Quick and enjoyable, but not much substance.

It’s a shame this 70’s comic series only lasted 8 issues- it may be one of the most fun Kirby books I’ve read next to Kamandi. Every issue is packed with concepts that are bizarre, yet not entirely implausible (someday): there’s OMAC, the One Man Army Corps- a super soldier powered by transmissions from the orbiting satellite, Brother Eye, the mega-rich renting entire cities for parties, thieves condensing bodies of water down to the size of a brick (a brick weighing several tons), an aerosol spray that erases your face, and my favorite: Build-A-Friend, a cross between realistic sex dolls and Build-A-Bear (before either of those even existed). Seriously, Build-A-Friend is one of the strangest things I've seen illustrated in a long time.
Loved it!! It's like all my favorite trashy tabloids (Star, US, and InTouch) got together and wrote a book. Add in characters you actually like and a super cute story line. Can't wait to read the second one!!
A 4.5 stars!!! First off - I ADORE Marie Force. This is the last of her books that I hadn't yet read. She is a must read for me. I think I cried more reading this book than any I can remember. Very emotional writing, wonderful characters, complex page turning story of relationships between friends, families and lovers. Gotta say I almost gave up on Ted in the last few chapters before he redeemed himself with Caroline. And it’s usually the female leads in a story I want to smack a little sense into. What made this book unique is that is wasn't just about Ted and Caroline, but just as focused on the friends Smitty, Chip and Parker and their relationships. Mare Force always writes the most lovable characters and this book was just an wonderful as her others. This story stayed with me far beyond the end. Kept thinking about it for hours. Would HIGHLY recommend this book.
Charming, quirky, well-written, witty. Enjoyable, although it didn't stand out to me as being overly fantastic. A good read, nothing more.

I blame John Cusack too...
I thought this would have more of the characters I love but most (over half) of the book was dedicated to the characters that were involved in the trial. I thought the main characters were annoying and was glad to finally get to Dismas. Having said that, it kept my attention enough to keep reading and I liked the ending. If you like his other books you'd probably like this one. Definitely keep an eye out for Plague of Secrets- that one was great!

This was an absolutely wonderful story with a terrific surprise in the middle. It begins with a not-so-young lady losing her boyfriend (of 6 years)and her job all at once, and being completely at loose ends she begins a search for her ancestors. The story that unfolds is delightful, pleasurably romantic with a touch of fairy-tale, yet quite believable. The pictures of Paris are lovely, make you want to travel there. A VERY pleasant reading experience.
