Um...well I am not sure about this one...I did like the story, that it was science fiction and so on...but few things just bothered me a bit to much. First of all...the holo thing was never really explained properly so I did not really get how the holo people were able to "do" physical stuff like touch a normal human being. I had a picture of a hologram in my mind the whole time and yet it did not fit since these were "solid" holograms...or did I get it all wrong? The second thing was a mayor problem for me...the tragedy! This whole book from page one is one big sad party...the tears just flow like the damn rivers and everyone keeps trowing up all the time...and I understood why...it really was sad (what had happened to Anderson), but when EVERY character in the book just keeps crying once on almost every page then it just makes me irritated...I just got enough of it... I want to be sad while reading...not have all the characters be it for me! I want to be mad, happy, frustrated and so on, on a specific characters behalf...not have it spelled out for me that everyone in the book is already feeling all that so no need for me to worry about anything...just sit back and let us do it all. So that is what I ended up doing, I did not care much what happened anymore and at some point got a bit bored with the whole thing. The C.J character was a bit weird too...we kept being told he was amazing yet I never saw him do anything amazing...hell all I did see him do is cry and trow up...oh and one more thing...when he had the chance to step up and be the strong one...he didn't...he let Anderson take over (he let the poor, sad, tragical and badly hurting Anderson do it...Anderson had to talk to him and make him understand why they had to separate for a while...the boy who was traumatized had to be the strong and grown up one...RIDICULOUS!!). So much for everyone having an Alpha in them...C.J definitely did not...or at least I never saw the shadow of it anyways. The behavior of the holo family made no sense as well...there were 4 of them plus Anderson..so 5 of them could not do anything to Alpha? No counter measures? No preventative programs or what ever to make the guy not be able to do what he did? Were there also no psychology texts in the computer either? Could none of them see what was going on between Anderson and Alpha? And the battle between the 2 of them...why did none of the others come to help? They could disregard Andersen's wishes...Alpha could...so why not chose to stay and fight together with the boy? I understand the author wanted them gone in order to move the story along but the way it was done just made no sense. All in all the story was interesting and I really liked some parts of it and was entertained but there were way to many annoying things that kept trowing me out of the story.
