When I was in middle school, we had to do outside reading on our own time. We had to choose from a list of books that had computerized quizzes on a program called "Electronic Bookshelf." I wasn't a very strong or fast reader at that time, so I hated this. It wasn't so much that the quizzes were hard, because they weren't, but it was that I didn't find any of the books on the list interesting. This book was one on the list. It is about a girl in high school who becomes an alcoholic. I really remember it as an after school special / Lifetime movie kind of story and didn't get any enjoyment out of reading it.

I've read several of Jennifer Weiner's novels so far. She was scheduled to do a reading at a library about an hour away from where I live, but she would be discussing her first novel, Good in Bed, which I hadn't read yet, so I began my quest to read them all. Goodnight Nobody's mystery had me turning the pages until the very end. The ending was ok, but I really wanted to know what happened with the main character Kate's marriage. Oh well, maybe in a future book?? This book reminded me so much of the Stepford Wives at first and I guess that's what intrigued me so much. I passed this book along to my mom, who is always sharing books with me, and am anxious to see how she likes it. Overall, yes, this is a worthwhile read.

This boook had me from page 1, which has never happened before. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the ending left me a little underwhelmed. But it is an amazing book. The fact that 60 agents rejected it truly proves that greatness is subjective. This book deserves all the accolades it's getting.
** spoiler alert ** WOW, this book was really good! it told a lot more of the story and pulled a lot of parts that seemed disconnected in book 1 together for me. So now we understand the background of why the Spits/Taints/Glints are fighting each other. The one thing I wished at the end was that they returned the old lady's heartstone back to her in the House of the Lost. I think i am going to have to actually get added to B&N wait list for the next book (due 4/7/09). Isaac gives this series 5 stars!

This was actually one of my favorite books of the series, even though most people don't like it. Even though Edward leaves Bella, I like the emotional things that she goes through. It's just like feeling the pain that she does.

A great essay by a wonderful novelist about the final game of Ted Williams' superlative career.
Well done for a genre that tends to lean towards the overly romantic side. With more history than fawning, the story held more interest than most.

Very interesting medium for telling such a heavy story. Although the story is not anything new, it still caught my attention.

Book #9 of 2010 Not a whole lot to say... another Sookie book! I think I kinda like the Queen, Bill's a jerk and I'm not sure I trust Quinn. But I do want to know what happens next...
