This is one of the very few books that has been able to live up to the hype that surrounds it. I can't express how much I loved this book as I was reading it. I didn't want to put it down, and I had to fight the desire to drop all of my other work and commitments to read it. This isn't the typical Nazi Germany story that focuses solely on the plight of the persecuted Jews- this is a story that is about a young orphan girl that finds a foster home on Himmel Street. Her story involves multiple meetings with death, helping a Jewish man hide, and seeing how the world is crumbling without really knowing it. Death also narrates the story, which is an interesting twist that allows for the third person narration to elaborate the details. If you like books about the Holocaust period from any point of view, historical fiction books, and books that don't have the happiest endings, then this is for you. Honestly, if you even like a good book that breaks the normal mold you will love this!

My son really though this was a cool comic book, though he said he wished it was longer. He is 15. I, on the other hand, only appreciated the ending for the most part. I did enjoy the illustration and attention to details too. But the story was just meh, and I agree with my son, it was short. So it will flip some and not others. 2.5/5

This was a great book. What an amazing main character Lisbeth Salander is. I was skeptical that a man would be able to write about violence towards women without bias, but Larsson did a very good job. Good story.

Cute story of a girl who loses her crazy mom at a young age and is left with a fairly useless father. She goes to live with her rich and wonderful aunt and her live completely changes. Every living man in the story is a big jerk as are most of the married women. Kind of one dimensional that way, but still a fun story to read with lots of funny moments.

I was surprised to read at the end of that book that each chapter is actually from different Ensign articles from President Hinckley. My favorite was Chapter 10 from a talk entitled, "The Environment of Our Homes" from the June 1985 Ensign. I can't wait for Conference!!!!! 123 pages, 2009 total: 6618

I think I have to say that this was a fitting ending to the Mercy Falls series. I really like it when authors don’t require more than a trio of books to weave their tales. “Forever” is the third book in this trilogy and I am somewhat sad to bid it farewell. I have thoroughly enjoyed peering into the lives of Grace, Sam, Isabel, Cole and Rachel, delightful characters, one and all. I had difficulty trying to anticipate how this story was going to end. I feared for sometime, while I was reading this, that it might not conclude with Sam, Grace and Cole surviving. I would have been most unhappy, indeed, if the author had chosen to consign any of the above to a doomed existence. Happily, the author was clever and imaginative enough to craft a plausible outcome for these three characters. I have purposely left out of my review any details about this story because the joy in reading this book is found in the details. I believe any potential reader has a right to discover the delights of any novel on their own. I wouldn’t spoil that experience for anyone. But, I will say that this book is aimed at a Young Adult audience and contains some references to premarital sex.
