I did not want to put this book down and finished it in two days, only stopping once. I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. I thought it was really well written and immensely better than The House at Riverton. I loved traveling through time with the characters, although it was easy for me to lose track of at which period a character knew information essential to the story. I also loved the fairy tales and wish that the Eliza's book were real.

I loved this book. The story concept itself is very interesting, since its told by a boy named Christopher who has Asperger's Syndrome. And his intelligent, no bullshit out look on life is just priceless and true! At first I though this book was going to be about the mystery of the Wellington the dog who gets murdered and Christopher's investigation about it. By the middle of the book we find out who killed Wellington and how Christopher copes and finds out other 'mysteries' in his life and goes on an adventure, scared, but brave, I found this very impressive and I find Christopher to be the most enduring boy, even at times he gets on people's nerves, but its the condition he has that makes him this way. Definitely one of my favorite books to date and I highly recommend it. Oh, and for a young adult novel, lots of swearing! funny to me, might be distasteful for others.

I loved this book. Not really a huge football fan but I do like Tony Dungy and the Colts. Really good book.

Weird, as always. I wish the character development was better with Lenina and that they had gone into more depth when discussing "surrogacies". Otherwise I didn't notice much this read through than when I read it as a freshman in college. I do remember wondering when i read through it the first time how Bernard faired in Iceland and if he was happier there amoung the other people who more free-thinking and unable to fit into "civilized" London. Neat.
This book was given to me by my parents and I was told that I must read it. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. This book reads like a memoir and is emotionally-draining.
This thriller was sleek, smooth, well-written, well plotted, and revealed unexpected depth as the story moved into high gear. I really enjoyed it. I wish that it had been longer so the characters could have been explored more fully - that seemed a bit sparse - yet there was enough there to make the story work very well. In particular, it was great to read a thriller penned by a skilled writer!
Quite simply, one of the best books I have come across on the Eucharist. Roch Kereszty, a Cistercian priest who teaches at the University of Dallas, has written a very thorough study of Eucharistic doctrine, beginning with its roots in Scripture and taking readers up to Vatican II and beyond. Perhaps not the book to begin with if one has no prior reading background in theology, but a great intermediate text.

I've read way more of her books than I'd like to admit. I read all of her novels in High School even once I picked up on the fact that they all had the same basic plotline, just different names and places. The author certanly knows how to suck you in though.
Such a fast 870 pages. It just flew by! Some people disliked Harry in his adolescent-angst phase, but I, not generally a fan of adolescent angst, really like this book. The series needed a book with this dark tone to evolve. Snape's worst memory, Umbridge and her horrific detention, the Harry-Voldemort connection, Neville, the DA - so much memorable stuff here.
