Friend recommended it... was soooooooooooo long and convoluted. I rarely stop reading a book, however horrible it is, but this one easily persuaded me otherwise.

This is a great book, with hints of Beowolf. It is especially well read as an audio book, as well.

greatly improved and better use of greek mythology, Mr. Riordan gets out of the rut of the third book's theme of same characters/themes/crisis with an exciting adventure and new players. A great runup to what is sure to be an exciting finale.

I read this book in a book club. We all went into it expecting an exciting fairy-tale type story with lots of excitement and adventure. We were all extremely disappointed. The problem was not that there was not enough action. The problem was that the action went somewhat like this(random example): "I fell off of the 25-floor building. I thought I was going to die." Nothing in this book for one moment made me feel excited. It was an anti-page turner. The charachters seemed so fake and simple. They seemed like cardboard cutouts. When they talked, they didn't seem to express any emotion. Some of the things that happened seemed like things that real people would never do. If you're thinking of reading this book, don't.

Great story. I love that the answers are not clearly spelled out.

I own't waste time telling you what this book is about, you should already know because there's a description right there when you click on the title of the book. What I will tell you is what this book did/did not do for me. 1. It made me think about what makes me think someone is ugly. Like when I look at someone, what in my mind decides whether the person is pleasant looking or ugly. Also, how can two people see the same person and one person thinks they are cute and the other person says no, they are ugly. 2. It did not excite me. There was too much focus on romance and not enough action. I don't mind romantic dystopian novels but when the romance overtakes the action... I find myself just wanting to get the book over with. It is not a bad book, it just lacked the same excitement I have felt with other dystopian books like Hunger Games. So, it was just okay for me.
My life in dog years is a good but sad book. Some are sad and some are happy! It tells all of his dogs story! I would recomend this book to dog lovers!!!!!!!!!!
I have read a bit of it, but always put it down and then come back months later. Its the kind of book you can read in spurts. I love Vladimir Nabokov. He's an amazingly interesting figure in literary history.
