King's short stories never fail to delight. The humanity he brings to his characters, the great what-ifs of the stories, and the haunted endings make him the best storyteller of the last half of the 20th century.

Lots of good resources for growing your perspective and faith. The honesty of Yancey is again satisfying.

Possibly the worst book I have ever read. Never have I seen so many shallow, cliched characters and scant creativity spread over so many pages.

Ayat2 penulis ni teratur, almost impossibly perfect utk dikatakan bahasa pertuturan. Agak tidak realistik la bahasa dia, tapi i like the storyline. boleh dibaca berterus terusan, sedar2 dah abis. Cerita dia tak boring, ada saja yang berlaku dalam hidup Lisa dan Harris ni. Ada cinta, ada harapan, ada adventure, ada kejutan.. a good package utk satu buku. sure fine whatever Rinn

So good. LOVED this book. But a tad hard to follow all the story lines, because so many of the characters are similar and you only read a page or two about them at the beginning, but you have to remember it 400 pages later.

I love the writing style of Sarah Dunant. I read her book Sacred Hearts and really enjoyed both the style and the story. This book not so much. The style was still wonderful, but the story was lacking. I couldn't shake the feeling that she was laying modern-day social issues over a historical setting. I am not naive enough to think that issues such as homosexuality and religious oppression did not exist in 15th century Italy, but in my mind there was a bit too much tolerance for the time period. I liked her characters, and thought they were well defined. No one was either too good or too evil. I appreciated the difficulty of women in the time period as religious fanatics painted women as the cause of all evil. And I like how society has a way of swinging the pendulum back when it swings too far one way or the other. And I really like reading about how religious beliefs influence society. But when I finished the book it felt unsatisfying - perhaps there was too much attention to details and not enough to emotion. I like a book that makes me feel something. And quite honestly, I felt a little like yawning when I was done.

This was an unexpected pleasure to read - a fable with a great message. I loved it.

G.K. Chesterton is one of my favorite writers. He has a way of putting thoughts to words in such a clever way.
not sure why... but just could NOT get into this one. I adored the movies but I just cant fall into the books. I think maybe they are written a little young for me... idk??? Maybe I will try again later but I'm donefor now
