I recieved this book as a Goodreads first read, and was so excited to start it. The cover looked beautiful and the story line was intriguing. However, the plot took awhile to develop and when it was finally taking on some speed the story was over. It felt, though, to be just beginning. The ending felt hasty as though the author was simply trying to wrap the story up and instead left some loose ends and a rather abrupt finish.

A very touching love story..!! Ppl favouring romance fiction should read it..!!
Thank you, First Reads! This is a clean, simple enjoyable read with a powerful story. Colt McCoy is a great example of what solid values, faith and good parenting can do for a kid. I recommend this to UT fans, football fans, or readers looking for a positive, uplifting biography that also is a light read. This book may have real appeal for middle school and high school boys who love football and who need to be exposed to a prominent sports figure who has a positive message to deliver. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Colt's story and I'm now a Colt McCoy fan.
the book i read was the morgue and me by john c.ford . this book was amzing. even though i didnt get to finish it yet, i think its a really ood book. i would recommended it to anyone who likes mystery and a little bit of troubled romance. the book starts off with this guy christopher newall, who is trying to get a job at the planetarium where his parents work. well he ends up getting arrested for one little mistake. he was caught in the planetarium. now instead of working in the place he always wanted, he works in the morgue! people think. since you will be working in the morgue it will be fun. you get to see the autopsies and such, but for chris, it was the complete opposite. the morgue was always lonely, and there was no dead people. until one day the doctor brings a body with bullet shots, and the autopsy show that it was clearly a murder , but the doctor purs it in as a "suicide". after that he finds out some pretty weird things. for example, he found over $4,000 in the doctor's briefcase. then he meets this lady that works as an editor in the newspaper , and they find out some things about the so called "sheriff"
Hold on to your hats! Variant, by Robinson Wells, is a ride into a young adult fantastical mystery that keeps you reading and reading. I stayed up to midnight, I couldn’t put it down. Published by HarperCollins, it runs 223 pages and is part one in a series. The Story- Foster child Benson Fisher wants to improve his life. He’s tired of switching homes every few months and applies for a scholarship at a prestigious private school, Maxfield Academy. He begins to doubt his good luck when he arrives at the school, fifty miles from no where, surrounded by two huge walls, and evidently, no way out. His school mystery only deepens when he enters the building. There are no adults, the students rule things in gangs and teach their own classes. Plus, there are security camera’s everywhere. Benson is told the rules and warned that if he messes up bad enough, he’ll get detention, and nobody returns from detention. Benson is determined to escape, but the harder he tries, the more strange information about the school comes to light. Is this some kind of strange experiment? Are the kids being trained to be super soldiers? Nothing makes sense. My Thoughts- I loved this book. I read so much that often books with common themes blur before my eyes. This one stood out, full of excitement that did not end. Plus, I could not figure out the mystery of the school; that alone kept me reading. If you’ve read Maze Runner by Dasher, this book is in that same vein. You spend the whole book trying to figure out the mystery, only to have it solved at the end and a whole new one put before you. Go buy this book! It totally ranks high on the creepy suspenseful scale. For Parents- There is violence, lots of fighting and some death. There is no sex. www.dorinewhite.blogspot.com
It's marvellous to have a practical edition of the 1549 Prayer Book, such as this, for real-life use. It's a nice size, a good weight of paper, an easy-on-the-eye typrface (Monotype Joanna) and the text is beautifully laid out on the page (with rubrics in red) I've also found it much easier to begin to understand the doctrinal differences between this edition (words spelt as per today, rather than the Tudor period spellings in my Everyman edition) of the Prayer Book, and the authorised Prayer Book of 1662 in use today. I (a layman), personally, agree with the Rob Van der Weyer, the compiler of this book, that this text is very suited to ecumenical services today. However, where I live, there are simply too many ordained Anglican ministers who (contrary to their vows) dismiss the doctrine of the Church contained within the 1662 Prayer Book, and therefore, from ignorance, react even more emphatically against the 1549 Prayer Book! What can one do? So, for now, I value the use of this book for my private devotions. My copy is a 4th printing of the Second edition of 1999.

I like the format that this and other books in the series have. But it relies too heavily on Twilight and not enough on classical vampires. I've reviewed this along with "The Girl's Guide to Zombies" soon on my blog, http://moonlit-librarian.blogspot.com...
