This book I think I can say changed the course of my life. It inspired me for years and still quotations come to mind. I read it in French. And reread and reread it always in French. Poetry in prose.

Ok, where to being? Power Pack are a team of four pre-teen siblings granted super-powers by an alien that looks like a horse. Their adventures are usually filled with fun, comedy and juvenile high-jinks and derring-do. Yep, lots of shenanigans ensue. Cloak & Dagger are a pair of runaway teen love-birds who ended up in the clutches of nefarious drug-manufacturers who used the pair for experimentation. The result was the disturbing symbiotic duo acquiring powers which feed off and sustain each other. Yep, rather sick and twisted. So what happens when you put these two groups together with a story that focuses on runaways and street life in NYC? A weird mixed up story which has too much going on an not enough emotional impact to really be effective at anything. It's still a fun read, but not nearly as enjoyable as either Power Pack or Cloak & Dagger are on their own. As an aside: this was also reprinted in the collection Power Pack Classic Volume 2, which unfortunately had some awful printing issues. The result was that this graphic novel is more headache inducing in that edition as the reproduction leaves pages blurry, poorly focused and difficult to read. That certainly lowers the entertainment level more than it should.

I was so excited when I finally got my hands on this book. There were only a few things that I hadn't read before but that didn't stop me from reading them over and experiencing them again. While her written word is no match for her performances (youtube it). You can't help but feel yourself get pulled in. This woman, is simply amazing.

i thoroughly enjoyed racing through hp7 to see how JKR was going to end this wonderful series. i read it with my roommate missy which only enhanced the experience. i do have to say that the ending was a bit annoying. i guess i can't really elaborate. favorite book of the series: hp4.
