This is great as a reference book to update and annotate in the next earthquake or tsunami, whichever comes first.

Wow. An amazing look into the effects of rape on not only the victim, but their family and friends, and their relationships with these people. I think that Alice was very brave and it's wonderful that she has shared her story with the world.

My life is ruled by Douglas Adams' trilogy of five books. I have read, watched and listened to them so many times that occasionally when I swear I say "HOLY ZARQUON SINGING FISH!!" or "BELGIUM!" In fact Douglas Adams is my hero... I love the book and generally if you don't love it, you hate it. That's just the way it is with The Hithchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. "Life, don't talk to me about life."

This was an awesome book that had a gripping but tear jerking plot.I can 't wait to read another one of his books.

This was truly a humourous story. Ms. Kenner has a great sense of humour that I truly enjoyed. This series has been a joy to read and I recommend to anyone who wants to read about demons and a kick ass mom.

I didn't like it. Maybe it didn't translate well for me? I just don't get what all the fuss is over this author personally.

Inspirational account of all the hardships this author has already experienced at such a young age. Very quick read and simple writing.

Kind of a Savage Inequalities redux, but compelling nonetheless. A few more suggestions as to ways to make change in this one.
I give 4 stars for the quality of the writing and the compelling content of the narrative. However, despite these formidable attributes, the story failed to carry me until the finale, which I found drawn out, unexciting, and obtuse in retrospect. The initial shock of the style seemed to wear thin at times, and I thought certain expositions could have been made more succinct in the interest of momentum, which built greatly in the initial chapters but which faded without redoubling as I had expected. Rushdie nevertheless remains a writer I look up to, but a lesson in overwrought genius.

A nice mix of The Parent Trap and The Princess Diaries, as mentioned on the front cover. It's YA-fluff, meaning it's not too in depth. I did like this better than Cabot's series, though, as the main characters were a bit more likable than Mia. Good and fun read to kill a few hours.

AHH! I was searching for this book. I couldn't remember the name of it, but it was one of my very favorite books when I was younger. I am going to have to track it down at the library and read it now. This was such a good book. It's all about a young girl of a settler's family who gets taken captive by Indians. She hates them and fears them but after living with them she learns their language and grows to respect their culture. Read my full review (since I tracked it down at the library) on my blog: http://bloggingbrookeworm.blogspot.co...
