An interesting read. The book was broken down into 12 months - on chapter each. It gave a high level overview of what events influenced that month and what normally happened.

Excellent story that has held up pretty well over the years. Published in 1965, it's once again a future where women are still cooking and cleaning but putting that aside, it's a great story of the "Loonies" of the Moon winning their freedom from the tyranny of Earth. A HAL-like computer is a major character and the narrator of the audiobook I listened to did a good job of bringing the characters to life.

When Rachel announces that she was going to have a new adult series coming out I just couldnt imagine anything better the Faith and the gang. I am so glad I picked up BLOOD BOUND and found out that not only was I able to enjoy it but I think It might just have jumped into my top 5 favorite series. Liv and Cam have a history. They were dating and in love until one night Liv told him it was over and left the life she was living behind. Cam has tried a million times to get her to tell him what happened or just talk to him but she pushes him away every time. Liv and Cam are thrown together to investigate the death of an old friends husband and they slowly start warming up to each other again. I enjoyed all of the character is BLOOD BOUND. The world building was excellent, I really liked the blend of magical skills and oaths as well as the whole crime lord dictatorship. There is a lot of heartbreak, loyalty, mystery and action. There is a ton of twist and turns, I was shocked multiple times by things that came out. The whole story is fast paced and I am absolutely dying to know what comes of the proposition at the end of the book. I really hope all that Liv went through wasnt for nothing and that this big cliffhanger ends in a result that is worth the wait.

I had trouble putting this one down! Gaiman is such a masterful storyteller and completely pulls you in to a story that is weirdly fantastic and utterly believable at the same time. If you liked American Gods, this one is similar but even better. To say too much more would spoil the fun.

I was a lucky first-reads winner with Misery Loves Cabernet, what a great title. "Charlie" is a thirty-something single woman who is unlucky in love. She has a fabulous, but demanding career and she finds herself always making wrong choices when it comes to men and relationships. Misery Loves Cabernet is an enjoyable, quick read for all women. I found myself rooting for Charlie throughout the whole novel. I did enjoy it and I may read Gruenenfelder's previous novel Total Waste of Makeup to preface all the characters that appeared in this one. Thanks Good Reads for the chance to get a first hand glimpse of this novel.

An interesting collection of essays on the X-Men, written by a wide variety of academics and comic creators. I particularly like the essays on the X-Women, especially Christy Marx's commentary on Jean Grey. Interestingly enough, my high school freshman English teacher writes an essay on Wolverine in here. Talk about a double-take while reading the table of contents.

I thought parts of the book were funny. but I think the funny part must be the way she tells the jokes, because I didn't really laugh out loud that much. And I sort of hope her stories about her family are a little stretched because sometimes her dad was a little creepy...
