I enjoyed the concept more than the actual book.

Robert P. Mark - Industry Expert, Business Aviation Pilot, Author, Owner of Jetwhine.com Most pilots understand the inherent risks of flying airplanes, but most consmers do not. Brian has made it a career objective to teach the people who ride around in the back about the unknown of the airplanes and the airspace we all share once we're airborne. This book should be a must read.

This book is called a mystery, but I didn't find it very detective-y. Maybe I just wasn't as interested in the "mystery" part of the story. I did fall in love with Omar Yussef - a great character. And I enjoyed the author's writing style. Mostly, I was just fascinated by the insider's look at Bethlehem. I must admit that I don't know much about the Israeli-Palestine conflict, but it's something that I'm very interested in learning more about right now - especially after reading this book.

This is one of those books that could have ended after about two chapters. Not really worth the time it took to read it. If you're bored on vacation and it's the only book on the shelves besides romance novels then okay, read it.

This is one of my favorite books because it is one of the few where I can lose myself no matter how many times I read it. Wonderful.

A stand-alone manga (not part of a series). By Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragonball, it deals with environmental, anti-war themes in a light-handed manner. Good for folks who want a classic manga story without being tied down to an ongoing series.

I really thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was fascinating and fun to read. Yes, I understand that Palahniuk has a method and sticks closely to it (read: lots of details and little plotting, random facts and figures, jolting dialogue and one liners + almost pornographic descriptions of juvenille obsessions) but quite frankly I enjoy it.

I actually listened to it, in unabridged audiobook version, while running. It's over 60 hours of MP3. I really thought it was amazing. So slow-paced and repetitive - fugue-like - and subtle and insightful. Like living a full life in Czarist Russia.

I liked Alan Young's anecdotes about his scrambling days as a young actor in 40s Hollywood. Young describes the charm of the era and its imperfections. The book focuses mostly on Young's pre-Mister Ed film and TV work, but also includes tidbits about his stage and voice-over work. I thought a few of the stories were a tad boring, but I thoroughly ENJOYED most of them. As an added bonus, the book has terrific photos of Alan Young and his contemporaries.
