I picked this book up randomly off the shelf of the woman a babysit for--who has a huge thing for historical fiction. Apparently this is THE lesbian fiction novel to read, and I have to say, it's a good novel to boot. The setting (fin de siecle London) is delightful, the plot intruiguing, and yes, the sex was hot. It was definitely one of those books that I put off doing important stuff to read.

If you want to know why I'm such an over-analyzing cynic - I read this book when I was 14.

I enjoyed Blink and I enjoyed Gladwell’s newest and slickest work, Outliers. Outliers is a quick and fascinating read. As I worked my way through, I kept thinking that this was all pop psycho-social (is that a word?) information I’ve heard before, nonetheless the experience was pleasurable. One of my favorite takeaways: It will take you 10,000 hours to become world-class at anything. That equates to about ten years of hardcore focus and practice. I’m sure there is a joke here... I have not read Tipping Point. However, if you like Malcolm Gladwell you might like Nassim Taleeb’s Fooled By Randomness.

this book was incredible. there came a point where i just couldn't stop reading it until I was done. The book was masterfully written with awesome characters. I instantly fell in love with Rachel and loved to see her find her way and path in life. Oh, and the ending was TOTALLY worth it.

In the tradition of old space opera, Deuces Wild brings you to the edge of your chair and leaves you hanging there with each episode!
Wow, it's been a while since I read this the first time. We learn so much more about Voldemort. I am still clinging tenaciously to my trust of Snape, though it is difficult. I am hoping that Dumbledore was right. Anyway, this is probably my 2nd favorite of the series so far.

Perhaps it's because my friend Brenda used to rave about this book after reading it in high school, but it didn't live up to my expectations. Still, it's fun to read about the not-so-glamorous side of high class American life in the roaring 20's.

This book was ridiculous, strained, and populated with one-dimensional characters. I don't know which was worse: the ever-winking belly buttons, or Tom Wolfe in the obvious role of the alumnus at the tail-gating party. F-.

Despite it's length, it took me quite a few sittings, just could not get into it. Was a little hard to follow, just didn't pull me in at all.

I liked the premise, but the plot was sluggish and way too much time was devoted to quantum physics. Not one of Card's best works.
