I have found this historical fiction series about Gheghis Khan to be interesting and thrilling. This third book was about Gheghis and his tuman armies riding into the Arab lands. They even fought battles in the mountains of Afghanistan and Pakistan which had terrain that sounded sadly familiar. I found this book to be almost too intense because I have gotten to know the characters so well. The plot line of Gheghis's oldest son who could never win his father's acceptance was excruciatingly hard for me to bear. Sometimes I could only read 4-5 pages at a time because I knew something violent or bad would happen and I didn't feel up to reading it. But am I going to read the fourth book? Of course! I might take a break to recoup beforehand though.

Now it falls into the hands of her granddaughter, Sarah. Sarah saw a reflection of a yellow dress in her mothers mirror before she bought it. She saw Charlie fall down the stairs before it happend. Is Sarah a witch? Or is she just losing her mind? This book compliments the extreme suspense and style that Lois Duncan posseses. The story is fantastic and if you are interested in reincarnation, the Salem Witch Trials or the paranormal then this book is definitely for you. I thought the ending was great!
