To be overly dramatic these books changed my life. I stopped being a chocolate addict and started becoming an 'In death' addict. 29 books later and the first book is still the one that I read again. Although in books it seems like forever until the main characters get together and love wins, and this can be extremely frustrating. However even with the comfort of a loving relationship throughout the series, it's still so good to read back and smile at the start of the relationship that is such an important part of the series. Only roberts can mix romance, action, drama, suspense and science-fiction into the one book and make it good. Throughout this novel Roberts will slowly start to make you fall in love with Eve (the tough talking heroine with a tragic past and a tough exterior) and Roarke (the Bill Gates of the future, with his Irish accent, dangerous attitude, breathtaking looks and a huge heart). This book started my neverending romance with the characters of the In death series.
