I really liked this! Aidan; Hmmmmm, what have I got to say about you? Well, he's a great guy; I can't beleive he's with Victoria and not the lovely Mary Ann! I guess Victoria is just addictive ;) Mary Anne; Beautiful and sweet! Really enjoyable character Riley; I FRICKIN LOVE YOU! OMFG, I HAVE A MAJOR CRUSH ON THIS HOTTIE! Oooooooooooooo, he's so funny and cheeky and lovely. I'm not going to bother with Victoria because she's not my kind of: Favourite-heroin I really did adore this book and i'm sure everyone who reads this will do too! All the twists; they were all so unexpected!!! Ordered the second, I'm literally searching google for the first chapter!

A Pulitzer-winning account of the rise of al-Qaeda, written by a New Yorker columnist. For all of these august credentials, the writing is sometimes horrible ("he was as white as a snowman," literally). That said, it's a really good/gripping primer on the rise of al-Qaeda; it doesn't demonize the movement but attempts to understand its historical origins and America's role in its creation. It's a bit context-less, though; it is essentially a story about bin Laden and Zawahiri, and not about Egypt and Saudi Arabia. That's just a way of saying it's journalist-y; if you read this you'll find out more than you'd ever want to know about bin Laden's wives/children, and next to nothing about Nasser.

At the start it was really good, then it started getting boring and didn't have very good ending I wasn't sure if I could finish it but I did, not sure if I'll get the 2nd book.
This book I found very interesting, yet somewhat unbelievable. She continually points out how Aborigines are better than everyone else, but backtracks by saying they don't think they are. I'm not saying that the things she describes can't happen, just not sure they all did to her.

There is no better way to see the 20th century than through this first person perspective (and perhaps tall tale) of an active anarchist poet... who seems to have been involved in every leftist event up through the 1950s. It's beautifully told, and demonstrates how history is what we make of our lives, retrospectively.

when I first saw this book in the library, it was my kind of genre as I usually go for all the fantasy books but instead I thought this looked quite good and I wasn't wrong. This book is when three teenagers get resued from their fate of dying and join a secret agency that no one knows about. Their job is to fix time but they can't change fate. This book gripped me, althought it took me a while to finish it, I still enjoyed it a lot.

I found Ali's book shockingly interesting and learned a great deal about parts of the world I didn't know as well as the writer's experience of Islam.
