Not as good as the rest of the Wallflower series, but better than Secrets of a Summer Night. I guess I felt sort of cheated by the guy that Daisy ended up with, because all the other romantic leads had been introduced in previous books.

This was a slog because it was SO sad, and challenging characters, etc but I'm glad at least at the end things were sort of resolved.

This is a true story about the rape of the author. It's not for the squeamish. The author really delve's into her feelings and the reactions and support (or lack of) from her family. Very emotional account.

Uber-creepy. This book is great for fans of spooky sophistication in their literature. The story is even more chilling and tragic when you read the introduction, and learn how much Jackson incorporated her own life into her fiction. Interesting fact: the setting of this book is Bennington, VT, the same as The Secret History by Donna Tartt; two creepier than creepy books. I wonder what it is about that town that inspires such pyschological turmoil?

This was a good book to read. It kept me interested through-out and had characters I could love and hate.

The title is lurid, but the horror is solid. There is a little bit for everyone here: revenge from beyond the grave, mad science, bad seeds, tortured art and mysterious illnesses. Better known for Uzumaki, Volume 1 and 富江―The complete comics of Tomie, both of which were made into movies, Junji Ito's sensibilities are deliciously bizarre, even Lovecraftian. This volume collects together six macabre tales representing some of Ito's earliest work (1988 to 1994). Pulp meets Grand Guignol here, and anyone who's watched Tales From the Crypt will definitely recognize a similar aesthetic. Even at his briefest, Ito is adept at delivering a grim story in a uniquely tongue-in-cheek way.

una buena vista de cómo estaban las cosas en eso. Pensé que las cosas que el autor recordaba eran asombrosas dada su edad entonces y ahora.
