I loved this book, I could not put it down. One of the best books I have ever read. I concede that this book is not for everyone. I would recomment it to anyone that enjoys history and suspense novels.

I thought this was one of the best of Heyer's romances I've read in a while. The characters were well drawn and the twists and turns in the story kept me turning pages. The MCs of the story , a brother and sister, are masquerading as the opposite of their sex. At first seemed a happy romp. But as the reason for their deception becomes clearer the reader is aware that it is no lark the siblings, along with their father, are on. The masquerade, engineered by their father, was to keep them out of harms way until the father, or the 'old gentleman', as they call him, plotted how to let their true identities be known safely. All of the 'old gentleman's' plans are compromised by the attentions of Sir Anthony, who expresses a particular interest in the sister, who is masquerading as a man. I won't give any more details so as not to spoil the story for any would-be readers. I'm a fan of Georgette Heyer's Regency Romances and this one did not disappoint.
Graphic Novel. This bored me. It's like two hundred pages of Fly's origin story, except without the origin story so I have no idea where he's coming from. It's possible they went over some of this stuff in the previous trade -- they kept alluding to a spell I only remember vaguely -- but even excusing my faulty memory, I didn't really care about Fly or his magical kingdom, though he did find some clever ways to defeat the enemy armies. It was just too long: a lot of build up, not much climax. The one-off in the middle about Snow, Bigby, and the cubs, "The Birthday Secret," had cute art, but I think I only liked it because it wasn't about Ambrose. I don't know if I can make myself read the next trade. Two stars. This wasn't bad (I don't think?) but it definitely wasn't what I wanted.

Symbolism for 8th graders. Everything comes round in such a way that the story comes off more as an eerie fable, and less a portrayal of life and struggle in Afghanistan, which would have been much more credible/insightful and, well, not so cheesy. Did his nephew really have to hit the guy in the eye at the end? Please. Although, it was interesting to learn about Afghan families. The story should have stopped before his return to Afghanistan.

Two men who are very different from each other become very close friends. One is small, the other is tall. One is smart, the other is a bit slow. Of Mice and Men is a great book. John Steinbeck did a great job writing this book. This novel was engaging and exciting to read . John Steinbeck made it easy to read this novel. The author didn’t overdo on writing on the story. This novel was my first I’d ever read from John Steinbeck. I’ve heard about John Steinbeck in my middle school and never took the chance of reading one of his books. Now I’m in high school I took the chance of reading one of his books and I enjoyed the story. “ Of Mice and Men” was a great and entertaining story. In the beginning of the story I didn’t understand, but after reading the first chapter I started to get more into the story. It had some humorous parts in the story which made the story exciting. The vocabulary used in the story wasn’t too advanced which made it easier to read. The conflict of this story was awesome. I’d like how there was a bully in the story. The bully in this story is what made the story more exciting. Almost every character in the story had a problem with the bully. Also I’d like how there was a narration before every chapter in the story. Having a narrator telling about the chapter really visualize a picture in my imagination about of was the setting of the scene. I feel this book should of never been banned from schools. This novel really didn’t have a lot of profanity, sex, and violence. This book being banned was a seriously dumb idea. I believe everyone should at least read this book in high school. It's a great book and entertaining for students in high school. This book is one of my favorites.
I don't think I'm exagerrating when I say this is the best young adult mystery book ever written. Fully deserved the Newberry Medal that it won. The new residents of Sunset Towers apartment complex discover that they have been selected for their new quarters by a mysterious millionaire. They are unwittingly thrust into a complicated mystery that will lead to a fortune for one of them.
Is this the last supper Goldy will cook for her cateering business? Her business seems to always be in the red and there is one issue after another. Also dead people keep cropping up around her. How is this statistically possible for a person who isn't in law enforcement or the military? The only reading thing about this book are the recipes.

(Once again, the Pevear and Volokhonsky translation.) By far my favorite Dostoevsky work, with the intricate plotlines following the story arc of a group of revolutionaries, this is well worth the trek. Often a victim of editing (this edition includes the sometimes removed chapter of "At Tikhon's") and disputed translation, it is certainly a cornerstone to keep on the shelf along with the rest of your subversive literature.

This book is fabulous. I know a few people who have transgendered, and I'm glad that this book gives them the representation that they deserve. Ms. Wittlinger's telling of Grady's story is beautiful. I personally had a bit of trouble seeing Grady entirely as male because he was first introduced so many of the people he knows still called him Angela. Because of that, Grady was stuck somewhere between male and female in my head. This hasn't really been the case for me regarding the people I actually know, but I really only got to know them once the transition set in. I really like Grady. He's strong and knows who he is. He's a little bit shy, but loves people and is fabulous all around. I also like his friend Sebastian. Even though he isn't sure how to react to Grady sometimes, he's a stick-like-glue friend. Actually, I like most of the characters in this book, from Charlie, Grady's little brother, to Kita, who Grady really likes. They're all beautiful and talented and fun to read about and really important to Grady's story. I enjoyed this book. Different character's relationships with Grady, and how they responded with his change from Angela, were wonderful. I give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.
