You'd better have book 5 handy when you finish this book! It is a major cliffhanger. Book 4 and 5 are just one continuous story. This one has you immersed into the Underland and the battle between the humans and rats. It's a far better tale than the first 3.

Crazy book, but it's almost hypnotic the way it pulls you in. I read it over ten years ago, and this book still has a strong impression left on me. Another anti-utopian, nuclear-aftermath book. Very strong imagery, and shows the will we have to survive.

This book was actually not what I expected. It was soooo much more! I abs loved it! You could see the way all of the changes in the characters throughout the novel. Although at times the book frustrated me, i guess it was just because of the certain choices that various characters madem, that it took me forever to read the book. But as soon as i was done with the book i was left hungry for more! I honestly can not wait for the next instalment in this series!!! Ah I long to see what will happen with Seth and Aslinn :)
Interesting as the exact opposite of all the personal how-messed-up-Vietnam-was books. This material is taken from an official infantry-officer's magazine in which -- guess what? -- all the operations were successful and we killed a legion of the little suckers and, oh yeah, the indigenous population came to love us, too. Guess the US won after all, eh?

Amy Sedaris is cuckoo in a good way. This satirical book made me laugh hard in certain parts. Other sections of the book seemed as if they were just stuck in the middle to make the book a certain size. I wish I could see Amy do her comic act live - her quiky sense of humor takes me away from all the troubles of the world.

I think I may have read another book from this series. It seems to somewhat follow in the footsteps of Jayne Ann Krentz and "Arcane" series she has. They both deal with the psychic realm. Ms. Hooper deals more on the investigatory/police procedure side. This book was excellent except it did not answer what the Reverend had planned for his believers to save them from Armageddon.
Reviewed by LaLeesha Haynes for TeensReadToo.com NOMAN is the finale to THE NOBLE WARRIORS trilogy. I would not suggest reading this book before you read the previous two. The novel brings a beautiful end to the story of Seeker, Jango, and Morning Star. The stories are very character-driven, and to fully grasp the depth and spirituality of the characters it is important to understand their past. The author writes the book by taking the reader into the actions of the main characters by alternating chapters. At times this did make it difficult to follow the story line, because there was a lack of consistency and flow throughout the story. This book is thought-provoking and contains symbolism and moral messages that can be directly associated with religion and spirituality. During NOMAN, the young people in the book are sent on their own individual quests to decide who they want to be and what is important to them in their lives. Even as Seeker faces the completion of his quest to kill the last of the Old Ones, he finds someone who is preaching joy and love - and he is forced to face the reality of his past decisions. Although it would be nice to see them use their powers all together, I liked the individual aspect of the teens learning to deal with life problems on their own.
** spoiler alert ** (2009 At Least A Book A Week) Week 7 I had to take a break from three sci-fi books in a row. So I finally picked up a book my friend Greg told me about years ago. And good lord was it fantastic. Spoiler alert! I am going to have to go live in an Indian Ashram too! Maugham writes in such a clear style and develops the story so well that it makes me want to go back in time and be his friend.

Another enjoyable book by Catherine Gilbert Murdock but different from Dairy Queen and The Off Season which could be taking place today. In contrast, Princess Ben takes place who knows how long ago and contains elements of magic. I was glad to see Ben (short for Benevolence) grow up by the end.

Kundera wows me once again with his beautiful writing, parallel stories, and social commentary. Vivid imagery of imaginary places and modern day political climates, I love to get lost in his Czech Republic and the lovely characters he creates.
