the book was enjoyable. I liked that the herione was witty and did not always stick to the expected responses when asked an embarassing question. I was a bit dissapointed with the revelations towards the end.

Not my favorite of the series, but still amazed that these books are free!!
Chapter Nineteen was the cruelest chapter I have ever read in my life. So this book made me bawl like no other. I literally cannot stand when one of my favorite character dies... especially when there are still books left in the series. So far, three of my favorites have been offed. And each time, the book in which it happened, has not been one of my favorites. So this one, well, not thinking too highly of it. I probably won't even continue with the series for a while, just because I'm sooo devastated. I was not expecting that AT ALL. Don't get me wrong. Still a good book and a GREAT series... I just don't like the turn its taken. But I will definitely be continuing soon! (And I hate it when the characters take forever to figure out something I already knew. The revelation at the ending, I figured out three books ago.... >.<)

a great read... its different from twilight and all the other vampire books, here they seem more human with human characteristics and everything.. the plot was different and unique..loved how well everything playe dout in the end, and the irony within Zoey's name a must read

I'm only 12 pages in on my advance copy of this, and I already love it. Quirky, 1st person narrative, unlike any of Faulks' other books (so far, anyways!). Very, very interesting, now that I've finished it. Definitely a good read about a very strange character. Don't miss this when it comes out in the US in Septempber. Oh, and it's very British, so if you like a book filled with British slang, you'll love it.

** spoiler alert ** I ranked this lower than other Jodi Picoult novels for two reasons: 1. Too much ground to cover & too much going on: Having a same-sex couple struggle to have a baby is hard enough but when you thrown in the fact that one of them has been married to a male before, experiences miscarriages, gets cancer, has to come out to her friends and family, there gets to be too much going on for one story and it cheapens the depth that the author can achieve with the characters. 2. I was hoping that this story wouldn't end with a court case. My favorite Jodi Picoult novels are the ones that don't have a court case and while this one wasn't as dragged out as some of the others, I was still hoping for something different. I did enjoy the book, but I was hoping for a structure that was a little more original.

I think I went in with too high of expectations. It was good, but I think it's overrated.
