I was surprised by how much I didn't like this book. It took a LONG time to get into, and then it did get good for a while, but I really stopped caring what happened after the 'mystery' was solved, but at that point there was still a lot of book left. I just didn't care what happened to the main characters. I won't be reading any more from this series, that's for sure!

I really like this book. I like Dexter's character, the bad boy who slowly infiltrates himself into Remy's lifestyle. She's not used to people like him, but soon she just can't not think about him. I think that's how good relationships should startt.

One day Raphael finds a small leather bag with a wallet, a key, and a map of the city. The boys are thrilled to find 1,100 pesos in the wallet (about $25), but are terrified when the police show up to announce to the entire population of Behala that they are looking for the bag. Rat figures out the key goes to a luggage locker at the Central Train Station in the city, and there they discover a letter and a note of numbered code, all addressed to one of the most famous political prisoners in the country. Every piece of the puzzle leads them further down a dangerous path, where the truth about a powerful Senator could get them all killed. The boys take turns telling the story, as do the local priest who runs the missionary school, the nearly-clueless volunteer housemother, and the tombstone carver. Police brutality at the orders of the rich and ruthless and the horrors of intense and inescapable poverty make this a serious read, but the trust and loyalty of the boys shows hope in true friendship. 7th grade and up.

This was a fun, fast pased book. It's a different take on Ghosts from what I am used to. I enjoyed it a lot. The main character Chloe sees ghosts and is sent to a home for troubled kids because of it. She is diagnosed with a mental disorder and told she needs to "get better" to get out. But of course trouble comes along and things start happening with her and the other kids of where she is staying. Soon she is learning that things in her life were not at all what she thought. Fun, fun story!! Can't wait to read the next one!
