I really wanted to like this book. It sounded cute when I read the back. When I started reading though, I was very concerned by page three! The writing is really bad. I hate to say it. So over the top. It is trying hard to be "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" in book form, but as far as I got, it just fell flat. I forced myself to read over seventy-five pages before groaning for the millionth time and giving up in disgust. :(

As with all autobiographies, the hero comes off a little too virtuous to be true, but it's it's a good chronicle of how Biko became Biko and a must read for understanding modern South African politics.

I don't know how RJ Scott can bat out excellent stories on a consistent basis but she does. Her latest book puts the reader right in the middle of a devastating earthquake centered in Los Angeles. Nathan and Ryan's progression from ex lovers to lovers again as they fought their way to safety was action packed and touching. The side story of Ryan's pregnant ex girlfriend put an interesting twist on the men's relationship. Complex characters, a great plot and plenty of action made this a real page turner.

When the entire colony is threatened by construction, he needs the help of the organization, his friends, and some of the animals. Heartwarming, fun, and informative, this is a good book for kids because Taylor takes action and because the reader learns a lot about different cultures and about cats. The plot is absorbing and the characters are lovable.

Such a great read! I really thought this book was leading to a predictable ending... but it didn't. Also, I liked how different people tell the story from their perspective. In a nutshell, a girl was taken to an orphanage in India a couple of days after birth by her mother (reluctantly). Across the pond, a couple is facing the reality of being unable to have a baby. They end up adopting the baby and life ensues.
