The other book (along w/ Mind Hacks) that convinced me I needed to be a neuroscientist. Again, not because of the actual content, but because of my interest in the book was clearly an indicator in my underlying interest in the field. That said, Gladwell is a talented writer skilled at selling random psychology tidbits. I can't count how many times I've used the idea of thin-slicing to spark up conversations. Anyone with some free time should read this book. It's an easy read, and will definitely provide some food for thought.

This is the type of book that's for young adults (12-14 years old), but everybody should read it. It has wonderful moments of courage, selfless leadership, and friendship.

I really liked this book. It was fascinating to find out what an interesting woman she was and what an important part she played in bringing van Gogh's art to the world when others were urging her to dispose of the "worthless" paintings. The most poignant reflection: "the brother who destroyed my life has become my life."

I had to give this book 5 stars because I read this book in middle school and loved it. I did a book report on it and got an A. So every year after I would reread the book and do it again as my book report and always got an A. Also, this book scared the hell out of me to ever want to try LSD.
There is something fun about reading a book in a city that you know well. This one is set in St. Louis/Chesterfield area. i know the area well, yet I can't quite figure out where the house Nick Bradley might be located. Despite that one frustration the book is the third and final book in the heroes of Quantico series. That makes me sad. I've enjoyed them all. IN HARMS WAY is the story of FBI Special Agent Nick Bradley. He hasn't found a woman he can trust with his past until he meets Rachel Sutton. At the first meeting he is attracted to her until he finds out she's at his office because of a feeling she gets when touching an ratty old Raggedy Ann doll. For some reason he isn't able to brush Rachel off or get her out of his thoughts and life. I think this is the best of the three books, again all of Hannon's books stand alone as a good read. You might find yourself hunting down the previous books to read though, so you've been warned. Her books are engaging and have quite a bit of action in them.

Relatos sueltos. Empieza bien, y tiene puntos muy divertidos, aunque se hace un poco pesado a ratos.

The book was sad and I even teared up a little bit at the end. Lurlene Mcdaniel's books always get to me. lol.I've had the book for awhile and decided to get it out of the way. The book was pretty predictable & too easy of a read. My favorite Lurlene Mcdaniel books are "Don't Die My Love" and "I'll Be Seeing You" THEY ARE AMAZING!! I definetly reccomend those 2 books!
I couldn't put this one down! I'm often skeptical when authors add math to a tale but this one made me want to know the answers not despair because I couldn't figure them out. A nice mix between Bridge to Terabithia, City of Ember and Chasing Vermeer.
