This was an easy read and lots of fun. It probably has more meaning if you have Indian heritage or background but it was still fun. The ending was a little abrupt but the rest was good.

Wow. This was a hard read for me, and the ending a little "honey" for my tastes. But...being a black woman who grew up in a country with a strong history of multiculturalism and cultural integration, where being of African decent put you in the majority, I've never quite understood the perspective of Black America. Maybe better said is that I've never quite identified with the perspective on a personal basis. But this book gave me that. It was a beautiful story. I came away thinking about how my innate caretaking instincts, about what my life would be like if I was born in that time and place, about how small choices, and big choices, fundamentally shift the path of one's life. There are so many things to love about this novel.

I find Douglas Coupland's work to be very hit and miss, and was expecting for this to be a miss after hearing some poor reviews from friends, but I actually really enjoyed it. The family was dysfunctional in comic proportions, yes, but I really responded to the real affecftion and sweetness in it and found it quite touching.
Love to hate Darcy!

I thought this was a really good book and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in adventure and Si-fi. What I liked about the book was the adventure, humor, and the very little romance that was in the book. There are six main characters Max (a girl), Fang, Iggy (he's blind), Nudge, The Gasman, and Angel who all range from the ages of 14-6. In this book Fang ends up getting hurt and they have to take him to the hospital. They meet a lady who can take care of them and she ends up putting them in school and acting like their mom, but Max gets really upset about that. While at school Max and Fang end up getting their frist crushes, but the funny things is they don't like each other with different people. The sicentist end up finding finding them and the lady is part of those sicentist. They leave and end up going to Disney World, but that gets ruined to and so they try to find out more of their parents. While resting at a motel the sicentist swiched Max out with a clone because they thought she would be better at saving the world. Max comes back and they end up blowing a hole in the side of the building.

Hilarious and engrossing. One of my favorite books. I admit to skimming some footnotes and the whole government-agents-plotting sections that tie the plots together on rereads, but the book's still unspeakably awesome.

Two of Terri Windling's click of talented fantasy authors team up to produce an extremely quirky, well-paced tale pitting tradition against academic rigor while a young man attempts to find himself. The love story in the novel is a big part of what makes this book a little odd, and not because both the lovers are male but more how it unfolds.

Great continuance of Mercy's saga. I got the first three of Briggs' books on Audible. Awesome narrator.

Simple and beautiful, like 1984 but not as good.

Apasionante pero de menor intensidad que El Abysynio
