“The Billionaire's Mate” By Copper McKenzie Margot always dreamed of having her own hunk from the romantic novels she reads. Margot has no idea that the job she just applied for, would bring her one step closer to the man of her dreams. Adam Thomasson is a billionaire who runs one of the most successful companies going. He has money, looks, and friends, but he has not found his mate. That is, until Margot walks into his office looking for a job interview. He knows right then and there that she is his mate. Before he can stop himself, he asks her to move in with him, gives her money, and tells her that she is his mate for life. Margot thinks she has lost it and wonders when she will wake up. Now that her prince charming Adam has walked into her life, she will have to fight for him, and hope that he will want her forever. Will everything turn out for the best? Will Margot and Adam live happily ever after? This a great erotic romance book to read Saturday nights. It's a short book full of tantalizing sex that will keep your toes curled all night long. Great job Copper, I look forward to reading the sequel to this book. 3 Bats out of 5 Reviewed by: Raven Kelly- ParanormalRomance.ca Click Here to Visit ParanormalRomance.ca

I enjoy Asimov's writing and I'm intrigued by the world he created in the Foundation series (and his other novels) Nevertheless, there are a few things that bother me. First, for all his plotting ability, characterization is not Asimov's strong suit. Too many characters are indistinguishable. Second, the retconning that he starts to do here to fit it in with the early robot and galactic empire novels can be stretched too thin at times (less here than in later novels, but still). I don't have a specific instance in mind, it's more just the sense of trying to hard. Lastly, and most annoying to me, is the extensive use of mental powers (mentalics). It is just too far a bridge for me in terms of credulity. And since he uses it some much to drive the plot, it takes away from the enjoyment for me.

This is another one of my all-time favorite books because I love the inventiveness of the basic plot. What makes it work is Audrey Niffenegger takes this idea and writes the hell out of it. While you may have to suspend some disbelief, I think she does a really good job of closing some loopholes and addressing issues. If you like to read stories that are linear in time, this is not the book for you, as the plot goes back and forth with The Time Traveler himself (this does not give away any plot not already revealed in the title!) It also has some graphic language and scenes, which is why I felt strange recommending it to my mother, but I still did.
Hunting Human is a very compelling emotional read. Be warned this book can be brutal. I truly enjoyed this book I couldn’t put it down even though I found the story with a back in fourth relationship between the hero and heroine and the heroine Beth at times very shellfish. I just had to keep reading about this human lady being put in a brutal situation with a pack of wolves. Then after she meets Braden Beth is put in another dangerous situation that could cost her and hero Braden’s relationship. I did fell the need to smack Beth at times the way she acted, but with what she went through before and after she met Braden, I am sure I would have been on the defensive too. The sex tension between Braden and Beth is very high, but the sex is on the lighter side then most paranormal reads, I still found it very nice. I enjoyed the characters and I hope to read more on the Edwards family. The Villains are brutal and add a lot to the story.

I jumped on the Kite Runner band wagon a little late, but here I am.
quick and enjoyable. always love a good yarn about space. however, i'm now stuck on which interpretation of marvin to go w/. my image from the book, the depiction in the film, or perhaps as he appears in some early 80's fan music.

A fascinating time in history...Civil war, Lincoln's getting shot and the turmoil afterwards. This was a long, somewhat dull book to read, but I had to find out what happened in the end to Henry and Clara. It was a struggle to pick up sometimes, but worth it in the end as it gave such a good snapshot of that era.

My favorite Wally Lamb book. Again, stories, characters and writing are amazing. Story within a story. I have read this twice and look forward to re-reading at some point in the future.
