I've dipped in and out of this book mainly for the patterns. Still trying to decide whether to buy it and break my rule of not adding to my shelves. I decided a while ago that I'm only buying from charity shops and then handing them back to re-sell or using the public library. Use it or lose it. We can't lose our libraries! I might have to buy this as there are lots of lovely patterns but I don't find them easy to follow. I eventually realised that it is actually an American book even though all the photos are of England, confusing! That's probably why I'm having a bit of bother. Must try harder!

One of his darker books but still a good read.

This book was mostly non-stop for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The plots continued to move along, some resolving and changing, others just reaching their peak. I like that they're not all going up and down at the same time. There were some great resolutions in this book. Particularly with Rand's character. These I really enjoyed. I'm super excited for the next book. There's still some major elements that are smack in the middle of their development. For Perrin and Mat at least. And there's no telling what's in store for Rand next. Thoroughly enjoyable!

I was not impressed. The story started off okay but just went downhill. I was very disappointed. I only finished it because I kept thinking that it would get better. Nothing compared to Wicked.

Two stories made me sob when I was fifteen or so (the perfect age for Salinger)- I'm almost afraid to go back, re-read it, and discover it's as mediocre as most books I loved at that age.

the autobiography part in the second half gets dull, but other than that, it's very interesting
This book was rather cliche.
This was on my summer reading list, the summer before 6th grade. I made a declaration to my mother after the first few chapters, "If I really have to read this book, I AM NOT GOING to middle school!" She proceeding to lock me in my room for a few hours each day "so I could concentrate." Unfortunately, neither one of us realized the damn cartoon movie played on the Disney channel at least twice a day that summer. Needless to say, I was not a big fan of Lord of the Rings ;)

I liked this book, but I would recommend it for older readers. Some of the content might be disturbing to the younger reader, especially if they love and relate to animals.
