I hate the way Conrad denies the fact the he is in love with Belly, he tries to hide it even though it is obvious. Jeremiah is the one who's transparent enough that he loves Belly, but Belly loves Conrad no matter how many times the latter makes her go away. I can't totally wait for the third instalment!!

I only finished this book because it was the book club selection this month. I found Mamah to be a very disappointing heroine. If all the suffragists were like her it's really no surprise that women are still fighting for equal pay and that it took so long for women to get the right to vote.

So I loved this book. I loved it so much. But then I am one of those readers who totally goes gaga when a write creates their own world syntax and then writes in it. So sure, the ending is a little predictable, but there are definitely little things I didn't expect and overall, the reverence of texture was enough to keep you going in this one.

Love these books. These have helped fortify my faith. Sometimes the writing is predictable and slightly trite, but it's one of the few books from the Christian genre that I've been able to swallow. Page turner. Great historical fiction about gladiotors, ancient Germany...made me appreciate the 21st century.

I just can't get my head around navel jargon. There were few exciting moments, but navel jargon took the whole fun out of it. It's like having a foreplay with a surgeon and she refers everything by medical terms!

I liked this book. Even though some of the story lines are pretty heavy, it was a very quick read for me. Yet again, I was disappointed with the lack of Jocelyn's character development. I would have also liked to see more of happy Jace and Clary together. I did think that Simon's storyline was very interesting. He is such an atypical vampire, it was pretty refreshing. I am very much looking forward to the next book!
