i saw this book a hundred times at borders but never thought to pick it up until my sister recommended it. i can't get over how much i liked it... lee fiora is one of those characters who was so relatable and interesting to me when i was reading prep that i felt like a friendship was ending when i finished the book. for me, this book was less about life at a prep school and more about life as a teenage girl. fantastic.

She indulges in more stereotyping--again with the Celts, and also suggests that genetics are inescapable and all the good upbringing in the world can't help a "bad seed". The mystery is interesting in part because Grant isn't really involved at all in untangling it, he is really a mostly peripheral character.

An excellent story...regardless of who is telling it. I think Dave Eggers has written better books, and has shown better writing than in this book. However, the story is so amazing and since its (almost) true, I think this is a book everyone should read. Plus, the profits go to a good cause. So go buy a copy.
