Johnny is an alien from the planet Lorien who had to take refuge with his guardian on Earth after his planet was destroyed. He has moved around and has had so many different identities that it's hard for him to keep track. But he has to stay ahead of those that wish to hunt him down and kill him. There were 8 other children who escaped also escaped and live all throughout the world. They are protected by a charm so that they can only be killed in order of the numbers they were given. Numbers 1-3 have been killed and Johnny is number 4. This book was pretty good. It was really slow in the beginning and I wish that the action would have been all throughout the book instead of in the last 40 pages of the book. It is an interesting concept, but it just wasn't as action packed as I would have liked and the "big" war at the end wasn't as big as I thought it could have been. It still was a good read and it did have me hooked, but I felt a bit let down. The author was very good about keeping the suspense going and really draws you in. I am excited to see how the story will unravel in future books if the author decides to do them. Content Warning: Language

100% pleased with the historical details and overall feel of the book, probably about 75% happy with the plot, which seems to drag at times in an endless repetition of known issues, and with the transitions from one character to another, which are occasionally confusing.
